I've got some purina coupons that I am waiting to use. I call around an price my feed at the surrounding feed stores.... One is a dollar cheaper on laying pellets, another store is cheaper on chick starter, another is cheaper catfish food.... So, I buy certain items at one store and other items at another store.... I don't make special trips all over town, just once a month when I am around one or the other feed store, I stop in and get a few week's worth of feed. No coupons, but still saving money. Shop Smart and at the end of the month.... there will be more money left over in the bank account.

I don't know about the rest of you.... but my grandparents and great grandparents were raised on a farm. FRUGAL living is part of the game when you are raised in rural america. You learn to trade services / products.... I have a dozen eggs and you have what? ?? Want to trade ? ? You have more pears than you can pick.... I'll trade you some blueberry jam for a bushell of pears.

My friend and I always communicate when we are heading into town... Need anything, want me to pick up anything for you? ? ? It is 15 miles one way to the nearest McDonalds or Burger King.... Who wants to make a 30 mile round trip for a loaf of bread or gallon of milk ? ??

Well it was a good breakfast except inferior eggs. Had hoped to use them up at the breakfast/luncheon we did at our annual church Christmas Shoppe (craft sale and lunch room) but DW insisted I use our good eggs for the breakfast. So I have a Dz store bought to go through. Did steak and a nice sharp cheddar mix with them, kind of mask the taste anyways so not too bad. Warm and rainey here today. kind of depressing. Things will settle down till the 23rd when we head to Maine for T-Day. Have to teach my tennant how to care for the girls. Shouldn't be too much to do outside of let them out and collect the eggs this time short trip will be back on saturday.

Just finished redoing an Itinerary for a friend who is doing a round the world trip studing different culture w/ Anglicanism interaction. So it is time for coffee and lunch.

Good to hear from you Karl. - Coupons! Have you ever tried to shop with Coupons! Thats the thing. Trouble is a lot of the shops that give them out make it hard to use them when you go to cash them in. Mainly because a lot of the staff don't actually know about them! thats what it's about Karl. A lot of folk are using more and more coupons now than before basically to get cheaper shopping - I mainly use free Coffee coupons! Have you ever tried to cash in a coupon at the check out in a store???? I know here it is the same as Walmart in that usually there is a whole lot of faffing at the till. A lot of attention to the customer! - Hay everyone this customer has a COUPON!!!!!
It is just an observation. - Coffee time topic. Anyhow do you have any experience with coupons Karl - ?????

I'm with you m'lady need my sleep. I haven't had a problem with any coupons (that were valid) anywhere in these beautiful Berkshires of Massachusetts. Even get them doubled. Wal-mart and TSC has not seen fit to give me any grief about them. Maybe Because our cashiers are out of work engineers and such but that usually causes more problems. Like putting a cop directing traffic when the light goes out.

Nay M'lady,dinna think I've ever troubled meself to coupon shop!My lovely wife will save up fast food coupons for ice cream and such,to take the children out for a treat.
Now I do think the rnger is on to something with tsc coupons.Saving money on farm supplies is a very good idea! I think that one would need more free time than I to dabble in such undertakings as coupon collecting.

Good morning people,
Bread day today. 4 loaves to make and freeze 3. It feels like it is spring around here. We snuck(?) off into the mountains a couple of days ago. Did a couple of bush whacks. Nice and easy humps for us. It was nice to be out there once again. We have to set hiking aside for the next month or so, hunting season starts this weekend.
With us, a lot of items we use don't have coupons. We do use the occasional ones that we can.

Woke up this morning with another episode of vertigo. ( anyone else had this???)

This is about the 5th time this year. It feels like I am trying to walk up the deck of a sailing boat.
Anyhow the GP checked me out a few weeks ago. I had scans and stuff done a while back and all the checks again I had for Cancer 3 years ago. (Got a lump removed from my neck then, it was clear) It all came back clear so far this time too but am now being referred back to the neuro unit. So I guess we will see if I have any brains again!!!! Of course I got the old ears checked out but they say they look fine. So I guess it’s a trip back to the hospital soon. I will be glad to get it all sorted because I know one thing – It is very hard to look after kids when my balance is screwed up!!! Anyhow I am a lot better now and have been out for coffee!!!!!!! – Also managed to bottled 40 bottles of beer. So I am on the mend for today. I am a bit worried about it comming back again though??? It makes me sure feel sick like the floor is comming up to bash me in the eye!

Q - DH loves to make bread here too! Good for you it sure is nice to make your own stuff!!!!!!

Good afternoon chicken wranglers
Oesdog I had a badf case of vertigo only once anbd it was followed up with bells palsy.I also went to bed and woke up with no feeling in the left side of my face and I was unable to close my left eye.I recovered in about 6 weeks.Hope this is not your fate!
