Karl - I am so sorry that your cows are to be sold? I know you love them and I have so enjoyed reading about them and the new calves. Out back here there is just a mud bath. There is a lovely old Cow with wonderful unusual colours laying in the back paddock - I have watched her grow from a calf and am fond of her. She is a dark coffee brown with a mustard stripe down her back and she has mustard colouring inside of both her ears. She is so pretty. I am sure she is going to calf again shortly. Though the paddock is full of mud I doubt if she will find the thing in all that! Anyhow if she has a calf soon I will try to post a pic. God forgive me but I think she would make a lovely cow hyde rug! I have always wanted one. She is a pretty girl! I think you will miss your cows Karl - I love cows!

Math-ace - you can make a lovely Green Tomato chutney with unwripe tomato. Just a thought it is good for BBQs!

The weather here is not too bad. No frost yet. It is unusually warm for November but we are starting to get hight winds and so I am having to put rocks on the lid of the nest boxes and top of the coops. Last year the wind moved the entire big shed 6 inches across the yard complete with the chickens inside!!!!!!

Went grocery shopping today and got coffee out and cake so that was a nice treat. Apparently we have free coffee vouchers for the garden centre this week too!!!!!!
I am sooooooooo blessed!

I couldn't make coffee - I was errr ummmm Shopping!!!!! Really important busy hyper intensive shopping yeap thats what it was !!!!!
SHOPPING!!!!!!!!

I went shopping tonight too. I had to use up some coupons before the sales ended at the grocery stores this week.
I can tell you that Walmart is the HARDEST place to try to use internet coupons at. LORDY, every time I whip one of those coupons out....off runs the cashier.... She takes my coupons and runs to the service desk to verify that it is OK to use them.

Seriously, it is crazy ! Today I used a coupon AND had them match a competitors ad. The cashier was flipping out! She was convinced that I couldn't use a coupon IF I had them match someone's ad price - - REALLY ? ? ? You got to wonder... Do all the folks at walmart pay full retail? Do they never use a coupon or price check the ads?

This is my rant for today! I sure hope I didn't offend anyone.. . . . I am not one of the EXTREME couponing women that you watch on tv. However, I do watch the ads and do take advantage of sales and coupons. In today's economy, I just can't imagine most folks aren't trying to stretch that dollar as far as it will go!

Hey, We don't have a cellar full of TP or paper towels and toothbrushes but; DW does coupon and has been known to save upto 80% on the food bill. Why I just saved $3/bag on Purina Layena pellets at TSC and all I did was wait a week for the right coupon.

Of course they don't!!!!!

So why expect them to know how to use the things!

It is clear that they are not used to them as they doubtless are given a basket at the end of their shift and told to fill up on the nearly out of date products!

Thus kindly helping the rest of society with it's landfill environmental issues!!!

So next time you go shpping spare a thought for those poor hard working folk behind the counter and try not to confuse them with a pile of coupons!!!!

It is probably against their "human rights" - or even classed as cruelty to cashiers!

Better still - Don't take the coupons into the store at all - Try recycling instead!!!!!!

Yes that is the way foward apparently and this will make you feel better knowing that you have done your best for the environment and kept a cashier happy and stress free today!

cuntryyuppiechick, just mainline esspresso until the symptoms abate. It's like dumping hot cocoa mix in where the coffee beans grind...(and the vacuum was good for that, however, it smells like nestles ever time I vacuum).

Good idea! I'm going to try that. I hate to vacuum and chocolate smell would be a nice incentive. I was daydreaming of living in space and sleeping in those stand up pod things. You know those have to be equipped with automatic coffee.
