Burrr, Gonna be cold tomorrow!
I spent today getting the coops ready for the cold weather coming tomorrow night!
I've still got to get a couple of bales of hay tomorrow and clean out two more coops.
I planted some onions today too. Pretty excited about that. I have never grown onions before!

I have tried to grow onions here a few times and it has not worked out too well. Maybe I will plant some and see how we both do?? A kind of grow together like the hatch a chick thread!!!!! "How big is your onion today" ???????
I am going to take my DH and Grand baby out for coffee because it's sunny here and a lovely day and I think I deserve it!!!!

Dh very sick today and is unable to get out of bed. Bit sad really as the grand baby is here and he can;t play with her.
The wind is really strong and blustery hoping it will calm for the weekend so I can get out and plant my onions!
Thats fine I am still in Imperial - Feet and Inches for me, Lbs and ounces !!!!! - Ohhh my just realised what I said - Do I really think our onions can be measured in FEET!!!!!!!

I plan on warming up the oven and cooking a turkey today. It may not be Thanksgiving, BUT the Turkey was on sale and I LOVE turkey. I would eat turkey over chicken any day of the week. Turkey, mash potatoes and gray, greens beans, and cornbread. Yum, Yum, who would not enjoy that ? ? ?

Sorry to hear that Dh is having a bad day. Our weather is Cooooold. Actually it is FRIGID by Florida standards. It is 7:30 a.m. and 34 degrees outside BURRR.
I have some left over onion plants I was hoping to find a spot in the garden to plant them today. However, I won't be doing any planting unless it warms up to at least 60 degrees.
I plan on warming up the oven and cooking a turkey today. It may not be Thanksgiving, BUT the Turkey was on sale and I LOVE turkey. I would eat turkey over chicken any day of the week. Turkey, mash potatoes and gray, greens beans, and cornbread. Yum, Yum, who would not enjoy that ? ? ?

Good morning chicken wranglers
I haven't been able to post lately so I'm gettin a warm fuzzy reading about onions and turkey.I like to deep fry em myself.My other favorite is to sloww grill them in buuter and beer basting them every half hour or so They get so tender even the leg ligaments fall apart.OK so that might be a lie! but I'll never admit to it!

I cut down some of my chives and they are going into a nice bowl
of potato salad I have to bring them into the sun porch they do much
better then leaving them out in the winter snow but room
is so crowded any idea anyone ???
