Coffee's ready...

Karl - Funny you should say that - you see I have been getting pins and needles type thing in my left side for a good while. Sometimes I have little feeling like all the blood has gone from my arm and leg. It happens a lot at night and I have to keep on opening and closing my hand to try to get blood flow back. Also the left hand is getting affected in that the fingers wont open up like the right hand and last time I saw the Dr she said she felt a deffinate weakness in the left hand. Thats why she refered me back to the Neuro unit. I was very ill about 6 yrs ago and couldn;t walk the length of a room without incredible pain but it was down both sides of my body. They treated me for and put it all down to Fybromyalga ( Soft tissue arthritis) It has never left me totally just now it is only affecting the left side??? Sometimes when I am really tired or stressed I get ramdon limb twitching in the left arm too and recently I have had very severe migrains again. Though all my scans and tests are negative for anything sinister.
I haven;t really said much over these months - just kept going because really I have to - but it is the episodes of Vertigo that worry me most because I cannot function and feel so darn sick when it happens. Anyhow I am tired so am away to bed right now. Need a nice cup of coffee I think!

Good morning people,
We have been having a nice string of weather here. A few cloudy days with one of light rain, nothing like the past. The water and ground hasn't froze yet, which means I can still use the hose to water the chickens.

No we don;t - fermented chicken doesn;t sound so good?

With our meaties, we add fresh ground herbs and spices with their feed to add a special flavor to the meat. Nothing like pre-seasoned chicken. To keep them separated, the hot and spicy ones wear sombreros, the mild spicy sweet country ones wear cowboy hats, the plain no flavor ones go all natural.

I have to get a menu made up for thanksgiving, 10 - 12 people this year.

Enjoy your day

Q- I think it is good to pre - season your flock!!!! I know they do that with Beef here! It is not such a daft idea you just have to make sure you don;t give them anything that will cause them to visit the oven prematurely!!!

Talking of that - DH got a lovely big Pheasent. We are so lucky. Daft old thing flew into the windscreen and got dazed - DH thought she was dead and loaded her in the car only to discover she woke up and started strutting over his upholstry! She was quickly dispatched (As She was injured!) So now she is hanging in my garage for the next 4-10 days. I was a bit sad for her though as we try to get the males not the females. My car is just the right size as if I get them between the wheels and hit them square on, the front bumper is just the right hight to give them a bash in the head and not end up with road kill!

We finished bottling the beer today and have 60 bottles!!!!

Now we have to start on the wine bottling tomorrow. Should get 12 - 14 bottles as we only have two Demi-Johns on the go at the moment. Sometimes though we only get 5 bottles from one - it all depends on the wine and the levels of sediment etc. I am of course hoping for nearer the 7 so we get more like 14 not 10???? We will see how it goes.

Q - Turkey is really nice if you leave it to soak in Red wine overnight and add some fruit like orange , lemon and limes cut up. We also put spices in as well - just a thought for your thanksgiving?

My goodness, I havent stopped in here in a while! My weeks have been so busy. At least I have the whole week off till after thanksgiving. Of course, I'll be spending half that time cooking and cleaning, but i'm okay with that. The in-laws wanted to come over for thanksgiving, but I thought it would be too akward for BF's parents since they will be meeting my parents for the first time. Instead I've invited them, and some friends, for dessert afterward. Every year they want to spend all the holidays with me and my son, but I just don't feel I want to every time. Eventually tney will understand that, and I always make sure they have lots of other times to see their grandson.
Sorry about your tomatoes, math ace. Mine look good, and Im just getting some pods on my lima beens.
That's a lot of beer, oesdog! We are finally running low, so im sure BF will be brewing some more soon.
I wish I was better about using coupons. I always forget, and find them an hour later!

I just try to get good deals, especially the BOGO deals.
Well, headed downtown for an event that I did get half price tickers for. I do use groupons a lot, so I guess that is my couponing.
Have a great night!
