Coffee's ready...

A great week it will be. Putting last stuff in my G. Caravan tonight at 7 degrees. Will mostly be packed tomorrow Wed. Thursday our cots and coffee cups go in. Worried about temps. but Louisville at 15 now so anything that freeze should stay frozen. Friday hope to be on the road after closing. So praying for an early closing. Want to get past the lake effect snow before night fall. However with the great lakes freezing there might not be any lake effect.

All stay warm over out there. coffee and blankies abound.

Best of luck to you rngbill. Are you doing any site seeing on the way?
We have that cold snap going on here Karl. It's winter, what can you do? A whooping 12 deg with a nice eastern breeze that made you stop and take notice today.
I think the better half start salivating when I told her I'll make bread tomorrow.
Stay warm and enjoy the day

Good morning chicken wranglers
Good luck on the weather and traveling to all! My prayers are with you as you sally forth. Good things will come to you as you sojourn in cold temps. 15 degrees is warm compared to what is in store for us this week . More sub zero temps. Do not know about Louis but Illinois -13 on Tuesday.
God Bless!

It's a cool one here to Karl. I woke up to 18 with a nice southern breeze. The other day I went and checked up on the chickens, I open the door and they were upset, they all started making that growling like noise. I don't think they liked the door opening when it is so cold. I might let them out later today if it warms up a bit, or the wind stops.
Enjoy the day

Good morning chicken wranglers,
0 for a high today ! -14 for the low tonight,Last night it sounded like a jet was overhead all night long the wind was so hard and fast.
I awakened at 1;00 am to find the fire dead cold so I cheated and started it with charcoal starter.
The dear wife is trying to keep it going today just to keep the basement warm. The only wood I have left is cottonwood and willow and they just do not compare to the efficiency one gets from harder wood in the fireplace. Last week it was box elder and hack-berry. Next week it will be cherry if I can get out in the woods and cut the dead cherry tree down. The Chinese imported emerald ash bore is playing havoc on all trees around here. I find the larvae in cherry and other trees. I am no arbor-ologist but the bug looks the same to me. THANK YOU CHINA by way of DC's non protection policies. China sells us poison and garbage and shame on us for importing it!
God Bless!

Sold all my chickens ,Gave up coffee two weeks ago, all I have in common with you guys is a love for the same stuff I no longer possess.Oh well new chickens in a few weeks .peeps for meat birds and it will all start over again. New bull in the pasture 9 or ten months and I will have a few new calves. Heifers I hope I've had too many bull calves as it is.
On a better note the temp is up in the 20's today but snow on the horizon. Doom and gloom until may.
God Bless!
