I am on a diet again! Oes was a BAD FAT dog again! And all I read is food! Nice idea with the coffee and Baileys I could float in that a while for sure!
Nice to see you all again. It would seem we have a perminent placement for Dan ! What do you all think of that?????

Oes

Morning people,

ose: I am glad you have found a placement for your son, Dan. It must bring some peace to you and your better half.

Well for me it has started, "the mowing of the lawns". 5 - 6 months of mowing............ On another note, the trees are starting to pop open with their leaves. Under story plants are starting to green up. Broccoli, egg plant, and the squashes are all up in the shed. I planted the one raise bed with spinach, kale and lettuce.

We are taking our "maiden voyage" tomorrow on our bikes. It's about 12 - 14 miles, then food at a vegan deli. What can I say, the better half likes it.

Enjoy the day
Kaj

Good morning chicken wranglers'
Good to see you all again!
Rngr how is the flock? Q 12 to 14 miles is a good jaunt on a bike! Oes one must balance ones weight with ones enjoyment of life.
I have all but given up on the weight control.
My little flock is doing well. I have one banty hen and she hangs out with the ducklings. It is humorous to watch her because when they enter the water she stands on the edge of the pan and watches, but when they are out of their little "pond" she huddles up with them to keep the other chickens at bay. I just suffered through my 55 th birthday, but 2 days later it was our 19th wedding anniversary. One balanced out the other. Goose my daughter turned 20 . She has a boy friend that seems like a good kid, He helped clean out the barn Saturday after about a ton of shoveling I cant really say anything bad about him. All is well for me. I pray that it is also well for y'all!
God Bless!

Karl, Oh to be 55 again! flock is doing ok. We have roo though so have to get some bands to figure which one it is. He sings before I wake up. coop is almost finished. slow going with all that is going on. Would finish the hardware cloth and putting on door today but are going camping for the weekend instead.
Have my 66th and my 45th coming up in July. Tempus fugit.

Well time for coffee and morning prayer.

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Rngr congratulations on the anniversary and the birthday! "when it comes up!"
I know what you mean about age it walks softly but carries a large clout! I did a stress test when I was 45 and when they did it I could not be winded unfortunately now that is not the case I start winded and get windless!
Have a great weekend.
God Bless!.

Morning people,
I hope this finds everyone doing well. Congratulation on your b-day and wedding anniversary Karl. We had our 33th back in April.

Karl, I'm married, so does that count as a stress test?

Hey Ranger, compare the combs on your birds. The roo should be a bit more showy.

We never made it on our maiden bike ride. It was a different day that day. All these choices we made, led us to a couple that was, well heading the wrong way to where they want to be. We woke up that morning and decided to go hiking instead (1). We picked a spur of the moment mountain (2). The better half didn't want to push my knees. So when we came to a 4 way junction we had a choice. Head back the way we came, or down through the valley, or up a small mountain, or Blackhead. We decided Blackhead (3). Part way up, we stopped at a overlook for lunch (it's all about the food). One of my knees was starting to bother me, I popped some vitamin "m" (Motrin). After a bit, I convinced the better half to keep going (4). As we were approaching the summit, we came across this couple. They sort of had that "off" look about them, so we started talking with them. Come to find out they were a bit displaced. So we turned them around and brought them back to the intersection they were looking for (it was on the other side of the summit). Their map were useless, so I showed them where we are on my map. I had to take the compass out to show them their bearings etc. After about 15 - 20 minutes we got them orientated to the right direction. We offer to take them back, but they said they were ok. So I offered them my map if they mail it back to me (which they did). We made sure they had water and showed them were springs are on the map. Offered some oranges and then we departed. 2 days later, my map was in our mailbox.

Enjoy your day, it's sunny here

Great story Que and yes being married does count as a stress test. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Yes! Dear! I'm Coming!!!)

Wonderful weekend at Deam Lake in Indiana, DD and her 2 Fosters age 3 & 5 were with us for an added blessing. DD appreciates what we went thru with her and her sister and we appreciate what my parents went through with them. Helped them fish and the older one learned to ride her 2 wheeler. Great spot for that. When they got tired of fishing I got a good 45 minutes sitting by the lake just listening to nature and watching some fishermen on the other side and a few geese down from Canada and their little ones. Very peaceful and refreshing. Now back to the coop and making plans to roast a rooster in a couple of weeks. He's plenty big boy now. I hope he is the only one. He seems to face off with one of my barred rocks and don't want to lose 2 of my favorites.

Karl, that "clout" seems to be a 12 x 12 at times.

Good morning chicken wranglers
Stress in marriage? Palease ! What is that my woman is the perfect wife! " Hope she reads this !
That is a nice tale Que,
Dream lake ? where is that ? exactly? I used to go to brown county in Indiana, and to spring mill state park, I've heard of the dunes but not Dream lake.
Sound as though you had an Ideal time.
My week end was great also, Got the Wonderful Wife out Saturday and Indulged her in alcohol so the evening was splendid. Twenty one years of love and we have been out like that maybe twice.
Was Good.
Have a good one
God Bless!

Coffee is good this morning,
Karl it is Deam Lake in Borden IN, X7 off of I 65 and take Rte 60 W about 9 miles. Lovely place. about half is for horse campers. Never saw that up north. Have stalls and everything except someone to clean up after your horse. You get 2 stalls with your horse campsite. Very interesting.
Leave the post up on the screen maybe WW will be curious enough to peek at what you are doing. Don't let it go another 21 yrs before going out like that again, should be at least once a month.

Been praying for a sex change for a couple of my birds. Have one too late for him, Have another 2 possibilities. Both same breed so that would wipe out my BRs.
