Coffee's ready...

Rancher, glad to hear the happy outcome, congratulations. I can imagine it was scary for a while there.

Diva, I never really understood the Merkan medical system. Seems to me, in the US they think C-section is the way to go, and you have to qualify to be allowed to give birth naturally, while here it's the other way around, something has to be seriously wrong to get a C-section. Of course, in a business driven healthcare environment, being able to schedule things and foresee staffing needs makes everything run more smoothly.
I think much is misunderstood. C sections can be done when a mother has labored to long and the motive is to reduce the stress on the baby. Once a section is done future births may be sections. Though they now have a horizontal cut that may make it possible for a vaginal delivery.

We no longer trust the medical profession. Doctors especially.

It would be interesting to compare live births or babies born with birth related problems. Raising a child with CP is not easy.

Best wishes for your daughter's recovery. You should still be able to plant some beans and then some of the cold weather stuff - even some late lettuce. Most important is your daughter.

@rancher hicks
Take care of that daughter of yours. You being there probably helps more than you realize. My in-laws stayed with us years ago when our firstborn came. It was a rough delivery. I didn't realize how rough until older and wiser. They took care of everything while new baby and I recovered. At the time they lived in Ohio and my husband was stationed in El Paso, but, they came and stayed and just kept up with all of the every day stuff that can pile up and become overwhelming.
What a blessing to be able to help in this manner!

Well we are here for now.

DD at home has been haveing a heck of a time with the chickens. She was beside herself as another hen was found dead. The roosters have been fighting. One has a bum leg but I haven't seen it so I don't know.

I told her to call a friend and get rid of the main culprit, an EE.

On this front. His parents have moved here but not the nurturers DW is. The GS and she make dinner together. He is four but likes to help. DW has the patience for it. While she is Gramma, he for some strange reason has christened her "Munga". We have no idea why but she is Munga forever more.

The baby is nice and pink now with no traces of jaundice. DD will see the doc on Monday.
