2 egg day

Have some one laying "shelless" eggs on the poop board. the shells are like trash bags in thickness and consistency. They have oyster shell in feed and free choice. They are "first" eggs. Don't see any signs of egg eaters yet but worried about the eggs being dropped like this will lead to it. Had 2 birds lay in nest boxes today hopefully tomorrow this one will correct herself and start doing what is right.

Any Ideas???????.

Lost $5.00 at Churchill Downs tonight. Not bad for a night of fun. Wife won 6 out of 8 races and broke even.

Morning People,
Looks like another warm day.

Ranger: yep the fire pit was set in the optium postion for the most ash and smoke allowed. With the chickens, I have wooden eggs in each nest box that are left there all the time. I had a problem with the chickens laying on the ground, then the eggs were eaten. After putting the wooden eggs in the nest box, I haven't had one laid on the ground or eaten.
Congrats on you 2 eggs.....

Karl: Wearing winter clothing during the summer is not my idea of fun. Fleece lined heavy pants, flannel and quilted shirts, and a hooded on top and still shaking like a leaf. When we went to the docs, I had the heater cranking, still wasn't warm. Now I just left with a mean hang over feeling and I haven't had a touch of booze in weeks..........

Sourland: My better half says I am going to be twitching long after I am gone......

Good to here from you all again. Q I'm sorry for your illness and relieved you are on the way to recovery. Rngr I hope the layers come around ,"but until then ,Have you ever tried wooden eggs? Have to clean today as soon as I, get out of this work place.

Morning People,

Ranger: Mine are about 5 years old. In the beginning, dun dun dun I didn't have to use the wooden eggs. Have you tried removing them from the nest boxes?

Sourland: Special occasion? Sounds good.... pancakes, 3 scrambles, bacon, coffee and oj and to make it look healthy, some fruit salad.
