Coffee's ready...

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Tape measures are the most migratory of all the tool species save for the screw drivers and pliers, I believe that all tool species that occasionally find their habitat in the palm of the female humans migrate to various stations about the domicile and beyond.
My boys are migrating my hammers as we speak, but I will start a boot factory in their behinds if the fledgling hammers are not returned to the proper nesting places when they are done with them!
I firmly believe that it is the lack of my ability to implement this particular endeavor that keeps the cycle of migration perpetuating itself in my particular habitat.
Anyway that is my theory on the subject.
God Bless!

I too have noted the migratory flocking patterns of hammers and especially screw drivers. Coyote (probably a pup) vocalizing in the hay field next door at 3 AM

. That's a new thing around here. We've had occasional coyotes, but they have always been quiet. To the best of my knowledge this is the first that a pair has raised pups around here. They'll be thinned out when deer hunting starts.

Morning,
Closest Harbor Freight around here is a about a hour away. In a small city south of us, Poughkeepsie. One of the many places I avoid going to, if I can.

Great sleeping weather last night after the last few nights. It makes getting up hard. With the days getting shorter, getting up in the dark now makes it even harder.

The amount of fish I caught this year, I might just have left the gear home and enjoy the water. I honestly can't remember the last time I had to use it.

Enjoy your day

Kaj

This is the first time in 35+ years I have had a license, Now that I am a Senior they are only $5.00 and come with 5 deer tags. Last time I had a license I caught a 6" brookie and realized that at $165.00/pound I could enjoy just sitting by the stream and taking in nature just as well without the rod and reel.

wisdom comes with age and experience.

Been having trouble with them knocking off a "rabbit" feed bin that I use for grit. Have a nicer one for oyster shell and I use one of them for a cup holder when I am in the run "a calling" on my girls . Ended up screwing it on today with board inside and outside of the wire. Had a hard working though DW had to go get the camera.

Had five when I only had the drill in hand.

Harbor Freight is a dangerous place. I have a stack of their freebee coupons right behind me.
Yes DW yells about the mess in her car. There are only a few freebees I use, so if I have to make a purchase, as some coupons didn't require it and some do, I buy something with the 20% off coupon and get something I can use, like paint brushes or a tarp.

Yesterday I had DW with me so she got a free tape measure too.

However today on the way to DD's house, I saw one in the road. Of course I stopped and snagged it! I like Harbor Freight but those lights they give away are a piece of junk. Don't last long and you can't change the batteries.

We have a chain of cheapo stores here, they were handing out free buckets to the first 1000 customers. They ran out of buckets about half way through the queue. And you can buy similar plastic buckets (without the ugly company logo) for one euro. Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with people.

One Euro here is about $3.35 or more. I use the 5 gallon buckets for nesting boxes, though some hens are too big and won't use them. Chickens don't mind the logos, they equal opportunity poopers and will poop on them all.

I have a couple of green ones that had pickles in them. I got them from the school.
