Yes sneaks up and puts you in a strangle hold . Good news the vet was out yesterday and he says not to worry the cows gonna be all right.
The edema is from her bag and the calf is still snuggled tight up inside the uterus. That is all a relief to me

My girls are laying the work is flowing and soon I will get the week end off!

Not sure about that 'how it ought to be', but after 50 + years I am somewhat domesticated.

Eliminate gutters, let the rain just run off. Saves loads of problems. Over time the water also cuts a moat around your home, and since a mans home is his castle, you need a moat to keep the barbarians out.

Good morning Barbarians and chicken wranglers,
Back from the euphoria and kicking. Really, all is as it should be , I am once again on the bottom looking up at the rest of the world! I got 20 eggs yesterday! I found the secret clutch.
Several of the hens have been laying in the grass so that makes up for the rest of the week. I'm glad they have only been in this run since Sunday, as to be sure the eggs are not to old.
Up at 4 fed the cows the horses and now I'm at work so this is as good as it gets , living the dream I guess, at least I have all of that to take care of so it could be worse I guess.
