Coffee's ready...

Well that stinking Ground hog came out today. Saw his shadow so I shot him before he had time to run back inside! Then I ran back inside.

I had to snow blow twice today. I know DW wanted to sleep a little later before she had to get up, but I need time to snow blow or we'd have had a hard time getting out of the driveway. Not to mention me getting to the coops.

What do you get from sitting in the snow to long? Polaroids.

Why does it take longer to build a blond snowman than a regular one? You have to hollow out the head.

How do you keep the snow from giving you cold feet? Don't go around Brrrfooted.

What do you call a snowboarder with no girlfriend? Homeless.

'Polaroids' - now that's funny. Am I showing my age?

We got 4 inches of slush the other day, I too would prefer a foot of the dry stuff. It was a pain to clear it away, I had to pretty much shovel everything away because pushing it was just too heavy. You do work up a nice sweat though.

Morning people,
I see everyone has fair the snow storm pretty good. We have about 10 - 12" of the new stuff. Temps dropped like a rock to the negative numbers last night. I think the first for this year. Traffic is just starting to move on the road. The better half has her snow for snowshoeing. We have to keep it local, "ranger rick" (my truck) has to go to the doctors. I think I blew a brake line on him. I wonder if it would be like a bad artery or vein? Anyways, he's going in today.

Polaroids - To bring everyone up to speed:

@rancher hicks - good to hear about your better half.

Enjoy your day

Frozen crust on our snow here - better for ice skating than snowshoeing. On second thought I tried that long ago - not a good ides, and I have the facial scar to prove it.

Good luck to Ranger Rick. We need our wheels.

Age is just a number, don't sweat it.

Generally I agree with that (as long as I do not look in the mirror), but every now and then I get faced with reality. Lane to the beagle club is a drifted, icy mess so I walked in today to check on things and fill rabbit feeders. Well, the gate bottom was encased in a couple of inches of solid ice and immoveable . Fence is 5' topped by three strands of hot wire making it a 6' obstacle. Once upon a time I could have gotten over that with no problem. Gave it a good try, but just could not get the job done. Tomorrow I will go back with a step ladder.

Well perhaps the Amish are right. That mirrors are bad.

It's been asked how old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?

This 95 year old man was telling his friend he was marrying a 19 year old girl. His friend asked "can't that be fatal?" He said, "if she dies, she dies".
