Well I have to admit that though snow and frost does cause monumental difficulties, I'd rather have that than rain, which is what we normally get at this time of year. There are some days when it never seems to get light. Now I'm off to take water up to the chooks & geese and prey I can get the feed shed door unlocked.
Allow me to jump in. My SIL and his family are from Brahms grove I think , though my SIL worked in London before he married my DD. They say it's never really sunny there, but all the English gardening magazines show absolutely beautiful gardens. I subscribe and read them all. Would to God I could grow such beautiful gardens.
Its very tireing here with the snow cuz my arthritis keeps me from doing what I want in the yard. Some snow but we get feets of snow. We had 3 or 4 straight days of snow. Lord have mercy! And it snowing now too, see! This is the fort SIL is building, Lord I wish he'd grow up, and get saved. Also the coop. Like how I covered the runs so the chicks could go out? He did clean the snow off the roof for me though so he's not all bad. It was up over the windows last week.

Rancher keep warm. - Its Bromsgrove - Bromsgrove is a town in Worcestershire, England. The town is about 16 miles (26 km) north east of Worcester and 13 miles (21 km) south west of Birmingham city centre.
Anyhow keep warm. We do have lovely gardens here in UK maybe your SIL has not been to many???? They are mainly in stately homes though. We have great gardens here in N Ireland. Like Mount Stewart were we live - I will send you some pictures when I get chance. London is not very bright and sunny. Neither is Birmingham much. I think you need to go further south Devon, Cornwall for better sunshine. We have lovely sun here on the most Eastern tip of N Ireland so we are lucky!!!!!
Oesdog - Take care folks - my poor wee chickens are up to their neck in snow!!!!!!!!
