Coffee's ready...

No snow here either (snow would be unusual around here) but it's been raining for a couple days now and due to rain through Wednesday at least. Ugh. Did I mention I hate rain? This weather is really depressing me.

You are so right we just get on with it here. When I was a kid you couldn;t go home to your parents and tell them the school bus didn;t come NO WAY. We just all got in a group and hiked over to school and back. Sometimes the snow was waist deep on us little kids but it was a laugh and didn;t harm us at all. 3 miles over fields and back. Now if there is a flurry of snow the whole country grinds to a hult?????????

Oesdog - I fail to understand why folk want to get on planes that would crash if they were not defrosted and the runway safe????? Why do so many want to rush to die???

Well I have to admit that though snow and frost does cause monumental difficulties, I'd rather have that than rain, which is what we normally get at this time of year. There are some days when it never seems to get light. Now I'm off to take water up to the chooks & geese and prey I can get the feed shed door unlocked.

Allow me to jump in. My SIL and his family are from Brahms grove I think , though my SIL worked in London before he married my DD. They say it's never really sunny there, but all the English gardening magazines show absolutely beautiful gardens. I subscribe and read them all. Would to God I could grow such beautiful gardens.

Its very tireing here with the snow cuz my arthritis keeps me from doing what I want in the yard. Some snow but we get feets of snow. We had 3 or 4 straight days of snow. Lord have mercy! And it snowing now too, see! This is the fort SIL is building, Lord I wish he'd grow up, and get saved. Also the coop. Like how I covered the runs so the chicks could go out? He did clean the snow off the roof for me though so he's not all bad. It was up over the windows last week.

Rancher keep warm. - Its Bromsgrove - Bromsgrove is a town in Worcestershire, England. The town is about 16 miles (26 km) north east of Worcester and 13 miles (21 km) south west of Birmingham city centre.

Anyhow keep warm. We do have lovely gardens here in UK maybe your SIL has not been to many???? They are mainly in stately homes though. We have great gardens here in N Ireland. Like Mount Stewart were we live - I will send you some pictures when I get chance. London is not very bright and sunny. Neither is Birmingham much. I think you need to go further south Devon, Cornwall for better sunshine. We have lovely sun here on the most Eastern tip of N Ireland so we are lucky!!!!!

Oesdog - Take care folks - my poor wee chickens are up to their neck in snow!!!!!!!!

When they got married here it was the most beautiful day, sunny and warm. He just said it doesn't get as sunny over there as it does here, didn't dispute that the UK doesn't have beautiful gardens. I love David Austin roses and asked for a gift card so I could get some this year. I don't expect any, cuz you can't pick them up at the store and they would be to much work to get if they have to shop on line. I will get them just the same.

good afternoon chicken wranglers
my goose came home. She came a waddlin in when she saw mt wife drive in the drive after bringing the children home from school. She came back and broght na duck with her and then Saturday morning I heard the loudest quacks in ther front yard and low and behold another duck had returned. She was wounded but otherwise ok. Now I have them closed in the chicken run with water tub for a makeshift pond. they are happier than ducks in a puddle. now we can live happily ever after until they die. But I was amazed to learn that the goose was ok. and secretly happy since I'm not at all sentimental.
God Bless!
