Coffee's ready...

Good morning chickenj wranglers
I got out bid.The land went for 8875.00 an acre ,I just sat on my hands and watched the rich people go nuts.
God Bless!

Dang, thats a pretty penny per acre. Move to Mississippi or Alabama, you can still get acreage reasonable but you might melt.

Karl, don't feel to bad. I once got outbid on a house and now I'm in a different house and much happier. I felt let down but God knew this place was the right place. Even though it cost 20,000 more and I didn't think we could afford it, things have worked out fine.

I know your trusting the Lord so things will be fine for you too.

Take care folks it's been a heck of a day.

You all are right,I've been working so much lately I don't have time to mow my `10 acres so what would I do with 40?Maybe the Lord has bigger "or smaller plans for me but it will all work out for the good!

Well, I hope all is well with everyone.

In light of Karls' posting and the fact that I just came from a "doomsday" posting, I'll just say this. Allister Begg preaches a good sermon on the book of Eccleciates and mentions Howard Hughes. Here was a man that had riches and he was never as happy as some of us here. He had it all, as some would say, yet he died in a sad condition.

I have enough to take care of the three acres I have. I have more chickens than this household needs. Right now they're not laying so well but that doesn't matter cuz the fridge is full of eggs. Only one person can make them lay better. Ok I'll stop.

Anyhow been a do nothing day. Just don't feel like doing more than the necessities. Darcy has moved more than the adults in this house. She's just so cute but into everything.

Take care folks be well,

Good morninrg chicken wranglers,
Well we got another 3 "'s of rain last night,Not like we needed it or anything,My pond is a lake, my chicken run is a pond, and the garden is an ocean of mud.
could be that the alternative is worse! The weather is what it is and there is no changing that.
I took one of the calves I keep tied out on a rope and put her in with the herd,I noticed she was lacadaisical and I hope that will chear her up'I have to cut the steer out of the herd and start the last month of treatment befor he takes his last walk to the freezer, hope that goes well he is looking fat already.
You folks have a great day God Bless!

Good Mornging, folks. We finally got some rain over the past two days. Several inches. One night brought quite a storm. Hope you got some of it, Math Ace. My yard was a swamp - sounds like it was similar to yours, Karl.
We went diving for shark teeth yesterday. It was so wavy and the visibility was bad, so toward the end I was ready to call it quits. I was so tired fighting the waves I couldn't walk myself out of the ocean and lost my balance as I got to the shore. Trust me, watching me try to stand back up in the soft sand with all my scuba gear on would have been a great clip for "America's Funniest Videos". Kind of like a turtle on it's back. I'm sore and sun burnt, and don't feel like doing much today. My son starts summer camp this morning so that will give me a few hours of peace and quiet. I wanted to start working on the coop today, but maybe I'll just go buy the plywood. I should probably stay out of the sun for a day.
Gonna go get the stuff ready for my son to take to his little camp at the nature park. Have a great day!

sounds like an awsome time anyway chicks.maybe after the rain it is chicks in the mud ,I know they are at my house!
