All I've done is dream about my future pond so you're one step closer than I am! lol
Plants and something to aerate the water can help with that too. Some plants are great filters. I've seen some epic systems set up with a little side creek that flows through filtering plants and comes back to the pond...but you know, it's not first hand experience, just dreaming, lol.
Thanks! The pond isn’t actually something we put in. It’s been here, but it’s never held water well enough for anything to live in it. So we dug it a bit larger, while also making sure it would hold water. Since that happend, the dirt is still loose and it makes the water all brown. But before we can pretty it up with plants and maybe fish or something, we have to go through the year and be certain it holds water well.

I’m just so impatient!:th

I have Fairy Stones
What are those? I’m imagining small smooth rocks that are probably shiny

I'm curious what you refer to as fairy stones as well! We have a few but my husband always said that fairy stones are the ones that are blatantly put in your path with no explanation as to how they got there other than a fairy gift. Like on your doorstep. He tells the story better but I love it. I think it's an old Celtic thing. I'll have to ask him.

I got these three from Tellus Museum, they had a “Rock Convention” when I happened to be there, and it was pretty fun!

Ooooh pretty! I love ammonites, is the green one malachite? The convention sounds like a blast! We apparently have a pretty epic rock & fossil showcase near here and I keep telling my husband he needs to take me!
Yep! They were in a little case with lots of other rocks and fossils, and there was a “three for the price of one deal” on them, so i couldn’t resist 😉

Hopefully you’re husband surrenders soon! That sounds like fun!
