Which bacteria was that and what date was it done?

How would a tumor cause "pus"? Wouldn't a tumor only weaken her immune system leaving her open to other health problems? She is only 3 yrs old. Not from a hatchery.
I'm not sure, but I went through this with one of mine. He had pus in the same spot as your hen. I removed it, but it kept coming back until one day it obstructed his glottis and he died. After he died I did a necropsy and found under the pus was a large tumor. :(

I am so sorry you lost your rooster. This hen is not my only chicken with bacteria growth. I have had ongoing issues. I suppose that should lower the chance that it is a tumor. I suspect she might be contagious, so she is isolated.
