I am so sorry you lost your rooster. This hen is not my only chicken with bacteria growth. I have had ongoing issues. I suppose that should lower the chance that it is a tumor. I suspect she might be contagious, so she is isolated.

I wonder if by not removing all of the pus when this started is why she's not improving. You say there have been others? Are they pus free now?

Many have recovered. Some I lost. 4 still not 100% recovered, but show great improvement, (I have chosen not to use antibiotics on them).

She is a mix of breeds. She is like a small leghorn. Not bantam though. She was in healthy condition when she weighed 3+ lbs. She is underweight now.
