Colourful and Unusual Chicken Eggs!

My chickens just started laying, I have 4 Barred Rocks 2 Silver Duckwing OEGBs. I thought the first egg was from one of the OEGBs because it was so small but that was wrong they are just small eggs right now, maybe they'll get bigger. I believe I have three layers at the moment!

Funny story...For the first time I washed off one of my eggs before cooking and it had beautiful dark brown spots! So one of my hens lays light brown eggs with dark spots!!

Ha! Today Babette gave me a brown egg with dark brown AND light pink speckles!! I think I need a thread just where I can post a daily picture of what she lays!

Guess what I just found...in my garage! I was moving out some boxes and these tow beauties came rolling out...I was in complete shock! I knew that my silve Duckwing OEGBs had to be laying but had no idea where and I've looked all over the farm! There were only two so no telling where the others are if there are even others..but now I know why she was flying up and hitting the garage door today! I thought she was going crazy!

I got this beauty yesterday. It had a little poo on and when I went to wipe it off the speckles came off. Even where there wasn't poo. Wherever I wiped the specks came off.
