Oh ok. I Dont use mine for meat just for eggs. I have (as of now) 7 chickens total. So CR's dont live longer or shorter than other chickens?? How many years?

I guess I need to jump in here....I've been breeding Columbian Plymouth Rocks in LF now for just over 4 yrs. My original trio came in from Canada and I have bred from them and 1 hen that came from the Powell lines out of Ohio. My cockbirds are very large, my current broodcock is just over a year old (March 2013) and he weighs 12 lbs +. Size on the hens is at or above standard with some of my females a tad over 8lbs. I had my first one ever go broody a few weeks ago and she is currently raising 9 little ones. They are great birds, but quality ones are very difficult to find
