Comb Injury Isn’t Healing

My Pullet injured her comb a few weeks ago and it hasnt healed. I think it might even been getting worse. I’ve been putting Veterycin on it but it hasn’t done much. Any ideas?

I put Liquid bandage on it so the others don’t make it worse. Haven’t seen anybody pick on her comb. She’s actually more towards the top of the pecking order so nobody really messes with her.

I can't tell you what to do, but I would be inclined to take the scab off to see what's underneath if the wound is several weeks old. Then clean/flush well with saline or Clorhexidine, apply Vetericyn or triple antibiotic ointment - Keeping her separate for a day or so until it scabs back over. Once it scabs over, apply Blu Kote to help hide the wound so the others don't pick at it.

Just my thoughts.
