So previously i’ve posted about my first time hatching ducks. When i posted the photos of my duck eggs i was told that only one of them was fertile. I cracked the eggs (exept for the one i was told is fertile) and yep, no baby. So it’s day 29 of this fertile egg being in the incubator. We can’t clearly see into the egg because most of it is dark (what i’m assuming is the duckling) but we’ve seen some sort of vibration in the egg when candled, but i’m still wondering if maybe this last egg is completely infertile or maybe the duckling is dead as the only movement we’ve seen is the strange vibration. I’ll insert some photos in hopes someone can tell me if it is fertile and as it’s day 29, it should be hatching soon. There’s no pips in the shell yet, but i’ve removed the turning tray a few days ago in hopes it will hatch. Any help is greatly appreciated

There is a duckling in there
Do you see veins ? It’s hard to tell in the photo
You should see veins between the air cell and the dark mass ( baby )

Do you see any movement along the air cell ? What kind of duck ?
Did you calibrate temp reader ?
What temp and humidity are you at ?
What kind of bator ? Still or forced air ?
Sorry so many questions but this will help
To me the duck looks like it’s Only day 20 ish or it’s passed
Or it’s a Muscovy and they take 35 days to hatch

Along the air cell there is definitely some sort of movement kind of a flickering movement, it’s a khaki cambell mother and the drake was a mix of quite a few breeds but muscovy was definitely present so it could be that. the temp is set to 37.5C and humidity between 55 and 60, it’s a forced air incubator (i’m pretty sure because it has a fan but i could be wrong). I’m still not sure if i’m seeing veins but i definitely see something so it could be viens, i’ll try get a better picture. Thank you for your help !!!

If it is crossed with Muscovy then I think it’s around 32 days to hatch for cross breeds
This would make more sense
If you can candle Can you take a video
You can upload it to YouTube then share the link here
Flickering is normal when they get bigger you don’t see a lot of movements like you do around week 2

I recorded it on tiktok to add an arrow to the flickering so ignore the watermark but here’s a video.
sorry it’s not too clear

this looks dead to me sadly, the baby should have filled much more of the egg by now. It does look like there was a baby growing but I'm not convinced it's still viable.
do you have a calibrated thermometer in there? You could give it a bit longer in the incubator just in case if you think you see movement, but I wouldn't count on it hatching.
