Confused new chicken mama

Hi everyone this is my first post but I use this site frequently daily it seems lately lol! So. My questions today are what kind of chicken is this. Pretty sure Americauna but mixed? It was the oddball out of a batch of SLW. Next question hen or roo? It is approx 9.5wks old. Thanks everyone sorry pics aren't great. Little stink butt doesn't stay still long

Defiantly looks like a rooster, and defiantly some amauracana, but he has the coloring of a salmon favorlell so maybe mix of the too?

Americana is just a fancy name they slap on ‘em.

Looks like a EE cockerel. What did he look like as a baby?

He was partially feathered and was a mostly white fluff ball

Thanks everyone. I was sure a hen until i noticed those long tail feathers. Hackles seem roundish compared to the SLW that im certain are males. Apples and oranges i guess
comb is also pinkish as opposed to red like the SLW

Are roosters allowed in your area? Even if you have neighbors if the law says you can have them or doesn't say you can't, and if it has no chicken-specific noise ordinances, you could keep roosters.

I can keep roosters but then my SLW offspring will all be crossed.

They said maybe a mix, genetics are a funny thing....But they look kinda like a Brahma to me lol. I guess to each his own, who knows what breed this chicken is!

i love Brahmas. They are next on my wish list lol! Started with muscovy ducks and pilgrim geese. Now added chickens
