Connecticut!

or would you like the eggs in a week or two so you can hatch them by March

vonkettle.....where are you located? I'm in new Hartford and would love to add a few colored egg layers to my six RLS's. I'd also love to give hatching a try!

I didn't know if you were interested in hatching eggs I can collect blue and green eggs they are $15 a dozen if you want to try hatching I've had awesome success with my flock

Picked up 4 Americauna and 2 RIR chicks at Benedict's this afternoon. Got them all set in the brooder and realized that one of the Americaunas looked off. Went to clean its butt in case pasty butt was the issue but I think it has a prolapsed vent, something red and bulbous there... Poor chick :( Called the store and they said I could exchange it but they were closing and I don't have a car again until Thursday morning.

Went to Benedicts this weekend - nope wasn't tempted at all!

Would've been tempted if they were a bit older. Anyone have 2 friendly pullets or point of lay hens?
Considering expanding, 'tis the season!

We especially would like a buff orp, and maybe a brown leghorn or welsummer... I only ever see white leghorns though. I had a link for a place that sells & ships pairs of fancy pullets but lost the link.
My new faves to admire are Partridge Orpingtons & Gold Laced Orpingtons (nice!), Crested Legbars, and the beautiful Basque Hens (Euskal Oiloak).
I am definitely a fan of those all black Ayam Cemani chickens too - but they're way too much money!

Don't forget this is coming up. Hope you all can come! We're going to have music and raffles and FUN!

If it's a success we can build on it next year and maybe do a coup tour as well!
