Consolidated Kansas

Hey all I've just recently joined the group and the world of urban chickening (is that a word?). I live within the city limits of McPherson and so have pullets which is fine since our desire for his project has been for eggs and experiences for the kids. I have 6 red-sexed pullets, 1 barred rock pullet, and one mystery bird.

I posted in the "What Breed Is It?" forum to get help in identifying the mystery bird. So far it seems to be an Easter Egger or an Ameraucuna. Now the gender is a big question that will be obviously resolved in a few weeks.

Anyways nice to 'meet' you and see ya around the backyard.

Welcome mrcoon, glad to have you here. We do have some other gentlemen on the forum, they may just not post as often. Feel free to jump into the conversation any time. It sounds like you got some good layers there for in the future.

Welcome mrcoon - I'm one of the other guys....don't know about that gentleman stuff?

Good morning Rooster - how are you chicks doing?

GROWING!
Went away for the weekend and I think they doubled in size! LOL
The youngest little Buff Orp - "SHE" grew a comb over the weekend! Twice the size and ALOT more red than "HER" older sisters......!!
Most of them still run to the corner when I stick my hand in , but one will come see what I am doing at feeding time though.
This weekend I'm going to build them a little outside run where they can start grazing.
Good news is it looks like we are getting closer to moving!

Yeah, they have a tendency to do that. Will you be allowed to keep roosters where you are moving?
