We had quite a storm here last night as well. I sat and watched channel 13 where they were giving a blow by blow. Well... until it got here and we lost he signal. A tornado went over Council Grove but didn't touch down. I was thinking it's too bad my buyers have taken over insurance on the house. But I guess it's till standing. I haven't been out to check for damage yet.
Looks like a busy day today. I need to go to town and pay the house payment, see my parents etc etc.
I have been worthless the last few days. I really need to get proactive and get things done. DH is working nights. He said after he sleeps a while he is putting a new blade on the table saw. Then I can start cutting my boards for the trailer. I'm splitting 2 X4s into 2X2s to save money. I still had over $200 worth of lumber. And I'll have over $100 worth of poultry netting for it. Heaven knows how much I'll spend on hinges and latches. I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to put in pop doors or regular hinged doors. That is going to be a job in itself because I am putting in 10 separate runs inside and out.
I had 5 baby ducks manage to escape the outside baby duck pen yesterday and 3 of them got into the sled I leave for water for the big ducks and drowned. I hatched 3 more this morning. I guess that replaces them. It's sad though.
Hawkeye I am a lot like you. I have little temper flares but rarely does anyone see them. And like you they go as quickly as they come. I've been a bit of a rip lately. I think it is because the weather has been kind of gloomy and it makes me hurt. I've been in a slump and haven't gotten much done, which makes me dislike myself to some extent.
Sorry about your baby ducks, that is sad. Those birds can find a way out of anything! I had 3 birds escape this morning after I let them out. The wind blew down a piece of hardware cloth I had stapled onto the coop. I guess it got pulled off, left a gap. I just took out BOSS and sprinkled it in their run and they ran back inside. They were running the perimeter as it was wanting in. I had two Polish, and a Wyandotte get out. I think that's smart to rip your wood and save some $$. I hate dreary dark and cold weather. It depresses me and I am worthless -- can't seem to get myself motivated for nothing. The second the sun is out, I'm ready to get outside and do everything!

I didn't hear about that! Wow, that's terrible! You usually don't hear about deaths unless they just had no warning. So sad.All okay here in Lawrence.. Too bad about Harveyville. I heard it got hit pretty bad and their church is down with one dead![]()

I'm hoping the sun comes out and dries out my mini coop out there so I can paint and try to finish today. That would be nice! Then on to the next project!
