We were snowed in for a full week that Christmas, and several other times that winter. I swear we get more snow in this corner of the state than anywhere else, and if it blows just a little bit in these hills we are stuck. One year, can't remember which, we had 20 foot drifts over the road. We have some pretty steep hills, and when they finally got the road plowed it was only one lane wide. The snow was piled higher than the car on both sides, and there was a "track" down the middle. It got icy and slick, so when we went to go down that last hill to the house, it was point the car down and hold on. It was very much like going downhill in a bobsled! Once you started there was no stopping till you got to the bottom and partially up the next hill. It made for an interesting winter.
