Can someone please tell me what the Hatch-a-long thing is? I have been wondering for quite some time..

Hatch-a-long is where you set eggs and people follow along, encourage, and watch the hatch progress until the chicks hatch! Super fun threads.

My favorite breed is Appenzeller Spitzhauben—-This Swiss breed is cute, quirky and friendly. They are smallish but lay lots of big eggs (white).

Mine are silver spangled which is the most commonly available.

We actually did get a welsummer but she died at three weeks old from mareks despite being vaccinated.....We do want another one though!

I don't know why this thread is on a hatch-a-long page though because I'm not incubating eggs... I'm only planning to buy day old chicks...
