Convincing parents for a ferret?

How do I convince my parents to let me get a ferret? I still have $225 to save up, but I would like some tips on convincing them, I have written a long essay, but what else?

Ferrets really can be quite a handful. Maybe ask for something easier to manage; like a hamster? As far as “convincing” them... maybe help clean up around the house, do chores when not asked, show you’re responsible enough to handle another pet.

I am still going for the mouse, just "biding my time" [waiting for our rat infestation {Thanks baby brother, for throwing chicken food all over the yard!} to go away, one I saw was bigger than my guinea pig!]

really Butter?! Show them you can handle the responsibility. If they can trust that you will be able to take full care of a ferret and know how to take care of it, they will most likely be willing.

Soz, seriously don’t beg and be annoying I was just being silly but yes I agree with @OldEnglishGameBantam33 that you should show them your capable of owning another pet

Oh, boy. My son's gf has 3 ferrets. They are super cute, but demanding. And they chew and get into everything. And, good gracious, they STINK! Like, really, really stink. I always thought they'd be awesome pets. But their house smells so badly. I don't think they are all that awesome anymore....
