Coolest Chicken Ever! Silkie Mutation? New Pics. 2 months old

Hi!
Another may look at him and say "Ho-Hum, I don't see special".
Regardless of what anyone says, he is special JUST BECAUSE HE IS YOURS.

That is a cute little chicken! I have a friend for him.

Mine is a Silkie Comet or Rhode Island Red cross. I think Comet just because we have more of those and only one RIR.

She has feathered feet, but only 4 toes, not 5. She has dark skin, but the feet seem more green than black. The comb is also that odd color. It is a Silkie comb, but she has only the tiniest of tiny "puff" on the head. I can't call that a top knot!

The feathers while not like a Silkie's are also not like a Comets, but are much softer and more translucent. Her (I think it's a her) name is Uno.

Uno was the only one to hatch of all our Comet/Silkie eggs incubated. Almost all the others formed and came close to hatching, but no others did... hence the name, Uno. She is very sweet, and I think she's quite special too! She has both white and red feathers. The red is mostly on her chest, the tinest bit on her face, and then one single red feather on her foot!

I have enjoyed following this thread also. I think your beautiful mutt is gorgeous. I get a fery nice result from my Wydonette hen and Dom roo. I just cna't decide she is a he or he is a she. I also get a plainer looking chicken from one of my sex links and what I thought was a RIR roo. Can't remember what somebody said he actually was but they come out to be a lighter brown with some black spots. The one mixed with the Wydonette and Dom is much larger than the other one that hatched on the same day. I have pic but they aren't recent. A couple of weeks old. They still look the same but the white ones has much longer leggs. Thats is why I'm leaning more towards a roo.

I am getting surgery tomorrow. So it will be a few days before more pictures. Plus he doesn't change that much from day to day.

But hopefully next weekend, I will put some new ones up. As well as some pictures of my new silkies.

Everyones mutts are sooo cute. I absolutely love mutts. They never turn out the same, they are all just so adorable and loving. And they always seem to be friendlier than normal breeds.
