hi, we are building a coop n I have a few questions before I try to build my roost. coop is 8x12 and is a log cabin built with landscaping timbers. I am new to this site so pls bare with me.any help will be so great

Rule of thumb is 10-12" of roost length per bird.
A 2x4 with the wide side up is a good roost configuration, especially in a cold climate.
If roosts are higher than nests, they will be less likely to roost in the nests and poop them up.

Does that help?
Can you post a pic of your log cabin coop?
