Yup its pretty expensive...I am a member of the Yahoo group as well. I dont mind the cost if the end result is worth it. We have been working out all the details about getting the birds inspected. We are on the second set of test at present. Its a pretty neat prospect and I hope it works out for the best.

That is awesome that you are moving forward with this. The blues are my favorite. I wish I had the $$ to do it, I would have done it in a heartbeat. There has been a lot of talk about it but when it comes down to the $$ I haven't heard of anyone moving forward.... We would love to see pics of the eggs when you get them

Thank you and I will make sure to keep everyone updated on my progress.

We are waiting on a bit warmer weather to attempt shipping. The kind folks that I am working with in the UK have pretty much given me an open ended order. I will have available to me as many eggs as they can produce. They really seem as excited about this as I am.

As for my incubator...I have an older model GQF that holds around 200 or so eggs. It holds a very steady temp and humidity. I have 14 Delawares in it at the moment...due to hatch in about 10 days.

Thanks to everyone...Happy new year

oooh, are they heritage delawares???

I will make sure to give any updates as soon as I get them. I wll post pics as well. I should have some Orp pics tomorrow, I will post them to this thread for everyone to see.

I really appreciate all the motivation I have recieved from everyone tonight. It has been a lot of work so far and I am sure there is much more to come. But the light at the end is visible. The breeder said that hey usually get good egg production at the end of January, beginning of Feb...So that is what we are shooting for as an egg send date!

But as I said, you will all know how things are progressing just as soon as I do.
