corn

Personally I wouldn't feed the chickens any shrimp I wouldn't eat myself. I'm saying this because I'm not sure what exactly you meant by the freezer being broken and had to cross my T's and dot my I's of course.

You'd feed them only things that you yourself wouldn't consider iffy as far as keeping goes.

As a pretty new chicken owner and BYC member I'm beginning to get the impression that you should not feed your chickens radioactive waste.

Pretty much everything else is fair game.

Well, that could be argued. Go to the meat bird section and search for Godzilla. I think he may have been fed some radioactive material!

Someone was feeding birthday cake to their bird once. Seriously. As a treat. Another person did feed shrimp tails - not the shrimp - and wondered why their birds were ill.

Just goes to show that alot of people are paying alot more money for expensive feed when they could be feeding cracked or whole corn.I like feeding corn to my chickens its cheap and they are healthy.Hmmm 7.50 or 13.00 or more.Havent lost a chicken yet from over heating or lack of nutrition.

Yeah those feed companies are just pulling the wool over our eyes!!!! There is absolutely no need for all those vitamins and trace minerals, what a waste of money. All that research was funded by the huge conglomerates to justify selling their vitamins so the research has to be incorrect.

And the added technologies such as phytase, synthetic amino acids, and botanicals are designed just to line their pockets under the guise of "improved efficiency". What a joke.

Stick with corn only, save your money, and get those feed companies out of our lives!!
