A turkey just got out and went straight to the chickens run and was making loud noises. It walked right up to me without being mental like a chicken. Didn't even try to run away.

It feels like this thread is slowing a lot. Just down to banter and memes. Or has it been like that all along

I agree with the others that have said that it feels like we've settled into a new "normal." I check the local news each day but there's not really anything new to report, other than the hot spot for new cases has now moved from western WA to eastern, where agriculture and meat packing are located.

The state is allowing public parks to reopen as of today. It's a nice day so far so I won't be surprised if a lot of people head to a nearby park to get some outside time - hopefully people aren't going to be stupid and crowd up, but won't know how it'll pan out until a few days pass.

Hubby's work has now extended work-from-home until Dec 31st. However some people want to return to their offices, so they said they'll see about drafting a policy for each office so they can remain in compliance with the different laws in each location (state & country).

I can't do anything outside today because it is rainy and very cold so I am watching videos on how to can while I wait between laundry loads.

I have a funny story that you might enjoy...

Yesterday we had a rabbit in the yard and Coco our Muscovy was out of the fence because she can fly and we let her free range. Well the rabbit was eating her grass and she was not happy about it... She actually was nipping at the rabbit and chasing it away I couldn't stop laughing. She even waited in the yard and kept looking for it after she had chased it into the woods.

That's so Muscovy!
I wonder if their Scovy 'tude comes from the fact that they are the only duck that did not descend from wild Mallards.
Muscovies are like- I'm a goose. Just because I'm in a more compact package does NOT mean you can mess with me and get away with it. I'm watching you.....

Poults....don't worry, they will get less cute when they hit the gangly teenage stage and look for ways to kill themselves. A few will connect with you, and maybe you will keep them, but the rest you will be like...ok, I'm good and ready for them to be done.
