Yup. I don't 100% recall but I think it covers the other guy if you cause the crash.
Ask your agent what it is and what it covers specifically. Understand your policy....all of it.
Thanks! My parents usually deal with all that stuff and I think I’m still under theirs but I’ll have to ask. I’m sure they have all that stuff but then again my dad can be a bit cheap sometimes so maybe not 😂🤣🙈 I’ll ask haha

Definitely true!!!

That’s sad that they think that older people or people with preexisting conditions are somehow worth less or not worth saving over young, healthy people. :(

Also, are hospital stays really that expensive!? :th

I guess it makes sense. I’ve heard of some people going bankrupt from medical bills cause it’s like $50,000 or even six digits. And that they even charge for ambulance rides!? :th not sure how common bills that high are though. Maybe he had something super expensive done.
Oh to be young and trusting the system again! Yes, Darlin', hospital stays really ARE that expensive. That's why Insurance is so costly - because it has to cover most (but not all) of those charges.

Not meaning to scare you, but ask your parents about medical costs. It's something you will need to know about when you get into the working world (and why you need education beyond high school - college or trade training) in able to meet expenses. You can do it, but it's easier to plan for if you have a good idea about how expenses like that work.

DD took a great class, last Fall. It was called "Life Skills," and it covered a lot of the everyday necessities of being on your own - the sorts of things that make college kids load up debt without realizing it - how to balance a checkbook, how to figure expenses, and most importantly, how to design and stick to a budget that works. It sounds dry and boring - and to be honest, some of it is - but it'll save your hind parts when you get ready to head out on your own!

OMG that’s insane!!! :th

How can they even get away with that!?

I wonder if that’s with or without insurance? Probably crazy expensive either way!!
With or without - with it, it's expensive. Without it, it's exorbitant. It's the price we pay for living in a law-suit-happy time and place. A friend of mine is an orthodontist with her own practice - another is a veterinarian. You'd be shocked to know how much it costs them just to cover malpractice insurance!

Several (10+) years ago my husband was at work and had a blood clot pass through his heart. The employer called an ambulance. That bill would have been $3,500 to go the 1 mile to the hospital. Yes hospital stays are expensive...ICU with a ventilator......I cannot even imagine how much that would be.

Hubs refused the ambulance and had his boss drive him.
My stoopid father (I LOVE you, Dad!) drove himself an hour home from work ... past TWO really good hospitals, including Johns Hopkins ... to get closer to home and his family. If he'd been twenty minutes longer, his heart would have killed him. Instead, he pointed out the ridiculous amount of money he "saved" on the ambulance ride. ZHEESH!

Has anyone actually gotten a stimulus check? I haven't. I read in news that the president is considering a second round of stimulus checks. Doubt I will get one of those either.
DS and I did. It was direct deposit, because that was how our taxes went in, last year. It helps now, but that money doesn't come out of thin air. I'm sure we'll pay for it, later.

It’s not really that I trust the system necessarily, just that I’ve thankfully never needed to be hospitalized (that I remember) so don’t know. :lau and I also find it insane they bankrupt you for not dying. :lau :th

I’ve heard stories and stuff about it being expensive and how messed up/broken it is and everything so I guess I somewhat “knew” but didn’t think it was THAT expensive, if that makes sense haha

I’ve learned some of that stuff on here, surprisingly lol, and just in general but still don’t really use it. Like budget I don’t think I would ever be able to follow. I’m scared to look and see how much I actually spend haha

And I do have an associate’s (which took forever to get 😂🤣) and I really should get a bachelors or something but I haven’t wanted to go back. :lau  🙈 which is actually really stupid because I haven’t really done anything in that time anyway and could have had one by now.

Oh well I guess.

I do also want to get certified as a professional dog trainer though but haven’t done that yet either. Looked into it but haven’t signed up or anything yet.

I bet!!! Everybody loves to sue everyone these days.
It's education time!!!!!
:lau I’m sure I probably heard of it before and forgot 🙈
