😂😂😂 I have broodies there are no leftovers
I have a bantam Cochin broody sitting on Nankin eggs at the moment. I think this young lady is serious! It's her first time (and she's almost halfway through) and she is STILL collecting eggs. Yesterday, I watched her walk across the coop to roll a New Hampshire egg almost THREE FEET. She then settled back on her nest and carefully tucked it up under her. I swear that girl looked smug! I didn't have the heart to take it away right off, so I left it til nightfall and snitched it in the dark. I felt so mean!

Haha. I was gluten free for a year, before it became so widespread and before there were so many gluten free labeled options available in the store. My mom is gluten free now and she complains about variety or not being able to find stuff sometimes and I just look at her. Like back in the day the only things I could ever find was gluten free frozen bread and red mill baking products, everything else I had to research and stick with those brands & products.

I have multiple autoimmune diseases, migraines are truly evil but just one of many nuisances that pop up. Speaking of triggers mine are usually triggered by weather changes but light and temperature fluctuations also do it too.

In other news, we let the chickens out of the run to "free range" the fenced backyard for the first time yesterday evening it was awesome! They were totally entertained. One followed me all around the yard and loves to be picked up so looks like I have at least one spoiled rotten chicken fan. I really hope she is a pullet and not a cockerel *fingers crossed*. I haven't seen any pics of dark brahma pullets that look quite like this one, I'm hoping it's just a poor TSC hatchery quality issue...
Well, I'm gonna use a we'll know sayin' here. (With humour injected of course)

"Pics or it didn' happen." (Giggles)

Migraines!? Ugh!
My trigrrs? Sun light, murcery vapor lights, florescent lights. Driving toward the sunrise/set... Ohhhhhhhh boy these can be so harsh.. I have very light sensitive eyes too.
I don't have the migraines, but I have the super-sensitive eyes. I had cataract surgery very early (Legally blind at 42!) so I have artificial lenses in both eyes. For some reason, bright - even bright-ish - lights are painful. I wear sunglasses so often, and in the strangest places, that I've been asked to take them off so they could check my eyes. It wasn't until later that I realized that the Principal was afraid I was high! We both laughed about it, later, but if I'd realized it earlier, I may have bitten off a head or two ... so I'm glad I was a bit slow on the uptake!

Thank you and sorry too, I can be just as blunt too if a bit.... um... wordy :hmm.
Don't sweat the "wordy" part. Pretty much everyone on this thread is capable of writing an entire dissertation on the fly ... its one of the things that makes it interesting, informative ,,, and let's face it ... FUN!

I make no profit 😂 it’s all dumped back into the chickens. Feed, shelter, shavings, and whatever else they need.
See? THAT's why they're FREE - they don't cost you anything ... so why should it cost the crazy phone lady? I swear, if I could've, I would have smacked her through the phone!
Still - I do envy you. I don't come close to breaking even ... but I don't care. I'm not doing it to get rich, or even to stay solvent. I just love my biddies!

Love mine too. I have 26 that just hatched 😂

If you post a few pics of "her" - a full body profile that shows shape and feathering, a good heat shot (full on and profile, if possible,) and one of her feet - I'm sure we can help you solve the mystery. If not, we'll all be in on the ultimate reveal (an egg or a crow) together. We LOVE a good mystery ... but mostly we just love PICTURES! :p

Mine are flashing lights, and abrupt light changes from dark inside to bright sun outside. My best treatment is going to bed and sleeping through it.

Mine has been great about the schoolwork. Ahead of nearly all classmates even according to the teachers. Everything else? .....not so much. 😒
Mine just graduated, so she has no school work at all (until college starts in the Fall.) Her boyfriend and many of her friends are up-an-coming seniors, so they are still finishing up their school work and doing online tests. DD is REALLY rubbing it in! I guess that's one bonus of the online schooling disaster Covid started. Her buddies are responding beautifully to her teasing ... and she's enjoying it waaaaaaay too much!
I LOVE that girl!
