Sigh, YES! I am liable to be a full-blown agoraphobic by the time this is over! Our little church is holding services, they need us, and ... we're not going. A relative texted to ask if she could come over, and I nearly had a heart seizure! Lol. NO! Everybody, just stay the hell away from me and mine until they have a vaccine!

Y'all must have gotten the "random" detailed survey. Mine was much more generic. I've had the longer random one before, though ... and it was tough to make myself answer all the questions. I did it, though. Even though Big Brother is watching, so are the people who determine the money my kids' schools & the Park and Library systems get ... so I did it, but I definitely wasn't comfortable about a lot of it.

Right? A body is a body. Should not matter if it's great grandparents had freckles and curly hair. Has absolutely nothing to do with the number of teachers needed in my district.
I get the whole demographics data and the need for general info for the people who actually live in that community, but I always thought that was separate and apart from the general consensus.

NOOOOOO!!!!
Put out some food and a pan of fresh water. Water may bring them out faster than eats ... it's pretty warm out there.
If they're used to a brooder light or something else they may recognize as "home," maybe you could set that up outside. They may associate food and comfort with it. Fingers crossed and saying my St Anthony's!

Either that, or they meet you at the food bin in the morning. We once found a missing Nankin hen the next day ... My coop is an old wooden playhouse with the swingset still attached (GREAT for chicken TV!) DD and I were slowly swinging, crying over the lost little lady when we looked up - and there was Pepper, asleep on the crossbar!

My favorite hen is a wild beast She was a feral chicken when I bought her at a chicken swap. Her name is Blue Footed Booby and she’s a gold laced polish. She mates with my silver Deathlayer and check out the chicks they’ve created.
