Oh Yay I finally caught up, I've been trying for 3 days to catch up omg

I have to say something to this too, not mad or upset at all and I understand that maybe the whole topic was brought up for a different meaning. I'd like to share some of my experience maybe that will help others understand what this is like. I'm also on a maintenance medication. There's a 90% mortality rate if I don't take it. Trust me I'd rather not be on it because I do NOT want any of the horrible side effects that it can potentially cause. But I definitely want to try to live longer than the 10 year maximum life expectancy if I don't take it.

I also do not enjoy being on medications, the fewer the better I say because the risks increase as well. At one point I think they had me on like 4 and was happy when I could come off of those others but it's possible I still need to be on something like estrogen (sigh). I'm also on extra supplements because my body doesn't absorb vitamin D or B12 like it should and even those supplements don't work very well for me. I have lupus SLE, graves, maybe hashimotos I gain weight like crazy or (rarely) lose it from thyroid issues and it drives me crazy because doctors don't understand nor do they really care to try to understand what's going on, maybe celiac, sjorgens/sicca, raynauds, PMLE, some kind of freaking weird painful psoriasis that comes up on the palm side of my fingers. Really weird stuff happens with my body and I just have to deal with it. I had adenomyosis and a hysterectomy, it was one of those low risk 3% chance conditions you can have from a c-section yay lucky me but it also took 3 gyno doctors, 10 years, multiple ultrasounds, and constant anemia showing up on my blood work from the rheumy's office to finally arrive at a diagnosis on that one thing.

My friends have asked me many times over the years "have you looked at diet/exercise/chiropractor to control this". And I want to scream cause I'm like don't you think I'm trying and am always trying to figure it out? You think I can make a few changes or take an herb and it just magically solves everything, afford to keep a chiro in business because it may help? Take the psioriasis for example sunlight is supposed to help but sunlight flares my lupus and PMLE. Then take my parents for example who don't understand there are days when I just do not feel well at all, they think I can just work through it ignore the pain and discomfort just keep going and to many extents I do. It's just that they don't feel what I physically feel and otherwise I look healthy therefore they do not understand it. When you don't have health issues the "answers" may seem simple but in reality many of the answers are not and it is a very difficult and long struggle for many people from dealing with doctors, dealing with finding a diagnosis, dealing with finding the right treatments and lifestyle changes but also dealing with people who think they know better. If what works for someone means treating them with multiple medications and they're fine with that and so are their doctors then so be it.

Ok done oops another book.
:hugs:hugs:hugs
Despite the way it often seems ... most of us DO understand. And even among those who don't seem to get it, I'm sure there's more understanding than hat comes across. Sometimes, I can HATE the printed word. It comes across as so, well, cold.
We just all have to Keep On Truckin' ... and do the best we can - with or without our meds - whichever works best for each of us!

I might have to give it another try!!
Yes! Lol
I get that.
It has a very late 80's vibe. I don't think you were even born yet, right?? 🤣
Looove 80's movies... even though I was pretty young when most of them came out.. my parents believed in free or cheap so I watched a lot of reruns and VHS tapes.

My sister absolutely LOVED this particular movie. I liked it alright. But she watched it so many stinking times and I was bored enough to watch it right along with her. It got to a point where I could quote the movie, word for word from beginning to end. Which got on her nerves. One time we got into such a huge fight over it and I'd had about as much of this movie as I could stand. I took the VHS tape and flung it as hard as I could into a field, tall grass, snow. I felt so bad afterwards, we spent hours searching for that tape. About 6 months later in the spring dad almost ran it over with the lawnmower or tractor. Gosh darn would you believe that tape still worked minus the first two minutes!!!!!

And on that note - "Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full" rofl.

OMG that’s amazing!!!! Hahaha

I love Ferris Bueller and Breakfast Club haha and probably more I can’t think of.

I like caddy shack and lampoon and those type too.

And not 80s but I love Twister and Dante’s Peak 😂🤣😂🙈🙈

And Jurassic Park and Apollo and lots others. Lots of good old movies haha

.....DW said, they only want essential workers so she's exempt, but I am a essential worker, never stopped. Want to give you the potential vaccine and then beings your a essential worker out in public where you will be exposed to the virus and see if it works...WHAT!! Already have been, little late for that ain't it?
I bet they test you for the antibodies and you are exempt from the study if you have them. Might be a good free test for antibodies. I'd like to be tested for them but do not want to pay $$. I heard some places if you donate blood you get tested for antibodies free, looking for a local place that does. Be nice to know. I have always wanted to donate blood again. Had a great uncle that donated every chance you could. I have only donated blood once, '94 boot camp Army. If you donated you didn't get "smoked" all day, no pushups nothing...I think they get record donations that way 😆

I have a huge list of 80s movies I like/liked lol... can't buy me love, boy who could fly, turner and hooch, adventures in babysitting, sixteen candles, pretty in pink, risky business, road house, the great outdoors, the explorers, stand by me, the last starfighter, footloose, the blue lagoon, somewhere tomorrow, ghost, splash, mannequin, weekend at bernie's, big, cocktail, lost boys, starman, better off dead, war games, my best friend is a vampire, maid to order, jumping jack flash, the burbs.... flight of the navigator. Goofy silly romantic comedy scifi yep.

jurassic park and apollo 13 don't feel like old movies (guess that's a sign of my age ugh) but agree they are good during a time period when a lot of wishy washy movies came out. I also like Sleepless in Seattle and Sabrina and Corina Corina on and on. Maybe I'm a nutball when it comes to movies, like books:eek: :duc
