Einstein (BR in front) is getting her feathers back. The molt did get pretty bad. She’s actually a bit skinny under all that puffed up fluff! (Apologies for the cockerel on one leg )

We were in the 80'sF again today. Our neighbor ... the Pasadena Rose Parade ... promises another sunny New Yrs Day for their forthcoming festivities. The floats out of flowers are truly spectacular.

When I was 10 yrs old (1954) we went in person to stand on the sidewalk to watch 3 hours of floats, bands, & equestrian units parade before us... never again... too tiring! I'll watch it on my laptop at home in the comfort of a chair w/ a warm Silkie by my side & a cup of hot cocoa w/my breakfast.
