Oh wow I didn't know thatAnti government. Socially unstable content, among other reasons
That's cuz you DON'T READ and rely on HOLLYWOOD for your history "facts!"Wait really!? I actually never knew that!![]()
Columbus made the history books because he fit the Euro-centric point of view of the time - you know, where Europe is the beginning and end of all things "civilized" and "important?" Never mind the ancient, thriving cultures of Asia and the Middle East ... or the equally ancient and hugely advanced Aztec, Inca and Mayan civilizations of the so-called "New World." So what if their "technology" involved the stars and not the microchip ... their calendar only recently "ended," with so much todo that many oddballs thought it meant the proverbial End Of The World - which is really absurd, because all truly educated people know that the world actually ends right outside the main viewport of a quaint, but exceedingly trendy and popular little restaurant called, of all things, "The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe!"Like Columbus for “discovering” America. He never actually discovered anything. Other people were here well before him. Plus he was a murderer and r*pist
Not really sure how or why he was ever celebrated.
I have absolutely NO desire to read the DaVinci Code. There are too many other, more interesting things to do ... like playing with chickens!(DaVinci Code)
Ulysses. Homer. The Iliad ... all books to be savored in small doses, like a series of short stories ... otherwise, your head'll be spinning trying to figure out all the language nuances ... ACK!I read the first three pages of 'Ulysses' and threw in the towel. Hated it!
Some 'classics' are wonderful, and others, not.
