There’s always a reason why someone does the things they do. I have such a hard time not trying to help people like that. I have helped people with addictions and put myself in bad situations, but the people I helped are no longer addicts.

The hardest thing I think is when someone has been treated poorly since being a child... those people make my heart hurt. They usually never are the same.
Yeah I agree!! I always try to help people and see the good in everyone and stuff haha may be stupid but

To me its like" You never know what a person has gone through that made them that way"...lots of times the people who are rather nasty or on drugs have been through abuse and who knows what all else and that's why they are like they are. Somedays I think hes so hateful but then hear their story and feel bad for what I thought.

Yeah exactly! I’m the same way haha

So no one in my husbands work like the watermelon they say it’s too sweet. They loved the tomatoes because they’re savory.

I need a skittles or jolly ranchers lover to try it
🙋‍♂️ I would gladly sacrifice my tastebuds for such an honorable cause alas I think the only way that will come to pass is if i fronted fedex or ups fundage for ya to send me a modest selection to taste test.... sweet, sour & everything inbetween. (deep sigh)

Just got back from a "sortof" social distanced bridal shower. It was outside, and while the weather cooperated, the flies did not, so everyone gathered around the fans that kept the bugs away. DD and I braved the bugs, so we were separated, but it was awkward. I felt so bad for the bride. She's waited a long time for this. She and my nephew are both 30 and have been dating 8 years. Her friends and his Dad's cousin put a LOT of work into making everything perfect. Still, it was really nice ... and the carrot cake was to DIE FOR! ... let's hope nobody actually has to ...

Covid-19 seems to bring with it all negative things. Wouldn't it be interesting to see what creative positive things we can think up about it. Our things we are thankful it doesn't affect t? Such as
I'm glad pets can't get it! Can you imagine our chickens getting sick from it and trying to social distance then in a coop??

Oddly enough, I have really enjoyed many things about being quarantined, social distancing, and working from home. I'm an introvert and love gardening, watching the wild birds in the yard, biking, and having time to devote to getting our batch of 12 chicks out of the brooder and into the coop. I read Robin Wall Kimmerer's Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teaching of Plants and that was been the best blueprint for coping with the pandemic for me.

As a single parent with a full-time job, I've also spent more time with my kids than I did when they were young since we're home all the time now. I've also made hundreds of cloth masks for friends, healthcare workers and various charities that are close to my heart and that makes me feel useful.

Of course, I also recognize that there are millions of people who have suffered because of Covid-19, cherished small business have failed, and this virus is exacerbating mental health issues, causing uncertainty and that there are so many people now forced into close contact with abusive family members, friends, and partners. I also recognize that I'm very fortunate to be able to work from home, to have a home, and to have a yard.
