I'm not sure if it is an age thing or an accumulative thing for our puppies increased distress.
Has anybody tried the "Thunder Vest" type of products for their fluffy children?

We have had two golden retrievers that were distressed by thunder, gunshots, fireworks. Both got more reactive as they aged. We used a 'Thunder Shirt' on the second and it helped to a degree, but not as much as we would have liked.

I wake up in the mornings feeling pretty ok about the day that is about to start. By 8 am I am sick of making breakfast, dishes, toilets, laundry, DH and life. By 4pm I am thinking about talking to a therapist, by 8pm I don't want to talk to nobody at all ever again... think I am doing great with this whole pandemic thing lol.
Only 2 out of 4 x-mas gifts made it to their destination as of today. I am glad that we mailed checks out to the kids for the most part but wish we could have been more exciting for the grandkids that live on the mainland.
K. off to the vets! Have an awesome day all!!!

*** @ChocolateMouse -How many puppies?! Like a barrel of monkeys- with four legs and a big olive nose! Photos please!!!

Ugh, we have to go take our dog into the vets today cuz we want to get meds to calm him for the upcoming (and usually constant neighborhood) fireworks and vet wants to weigh him and have a talk. He just got his check up in September but who needs money and convenience in these times? Bwah- for sissies...!! We did get a package of a calming strain of hemp for him but like to keep some big stuff to knock him out on hand, if we can't get away from the fireworks. I hate fireworks... and they are almost a daily thing that has turned our puppy into a nervous wreck. Maybe i'll try his calming hemp.
Have you tried a "thunder shirt?" That's the only thing that gets my brother's rottie through fireworks. They tried sewing her into a tight tee shirt once when they were away and caught unawares. That helped, but not as much as her shirt.

I love my dogs a lot. XD I take a lot of pictures of them. <3 They keep me going. The biggest one, the mix, is getting old. The youngest one, the aussie, is still very much a puppy and crazy. They all play a LOT and the love the snow when they get the chance to play in it.
LOVE the Aussie ... but I have to admit that my favorite is a Border Collie - same smarts, same energy, but I'm a sucker for that long, plumy tail! It's been three plus years, and I still miss my boy like it was yesterday!
