Here is a mask with pleats formed in the topstitching on the left and one with the pleats formed in the construction before the mask was turned.

Also watch out that you don't sew down a pleat in the topstitching. Making all the mistakes so you don't have to! :he

And here's your faithful seamstress (who needs a haircut but won't be getting it for several weeks.

Great job!! The elastic I ordered should be arriving in a day or two hopefully!

I saw a seine net online yesterday, in a package, how does one use it?
I'll be doing the fishing, not kids, but figured my creek's flow was too strong for a cast net.
Tie a dowel rod, 2x2 (what I've used), branch, etc to each end so it can be held upright. Think fence and fence post. Each person gets on each side of the creek holding the net across it. They will need to be in the water. Hold it across the creek for a few mins then one person holding the net walks across (through) to the other person's side making a wide semi circle with the net. Once there, both people lift the net to the land using a scooping motion. Then see what you caught.
Hope I explained ok lol I usually have a head time explaining stuff

They have not released any names or where they live around here either, and prob a good thing. One case in our county they released the info on FB but not who or where, it about blew up with people wanting to know what town and who, and if not who because of hipa laws at least where. I don't think I would want them to know from the way some were acting I'd be afraid they would firebomb their house or burn them at the stake.

I really don't trust anything China (Govt) has to say though, they have been doing a lot of lying and covering up, whistleblowers and people speaking out disappearing. Just takes a couple minutes of reading about their human rights violations which are appalling to know they are not our friends and not to be trusted.
I don't care who it is/was, I hope they stay anonymous. I wouldn't wish that sort of notoriety on anyone. If it's a family with children, think of what it would do to them. That's the kind of trauma that would stick with a child for life. So, whoever you are, out there, I wish you healing. Stay safe and stay quiet about it. One way or another, we'll all get through this.

Explained it perfectly. Using it like a fence is a great visual and reminds me of all the nature and conservation programs I've watched on TV were they use a net just as you describe.
And adding a dowel/branch/broom handle will make it easier for kiddo to help me.

Thank you!!

Yep same net. It's intended use is to catch baitfish

I understand perfectly, SnapdragonQ! There's so much on our plates now!

My motivation is much higher because it's personal -- it's my daughter.

I just wanted to share what we learned because the instructions in the video make it harder and less effective and I wanted to spare others the learning curve.
