They stop short of requiring it because if any unintended consequences affect an employee, the employer could be liable if they had required it. Normally, the manufacturer or developer would be but they have total immunity from any liability. Even if the employers are eventually not found liable either, they would have to fight it. That has bankrupted companies. It would be a lot easier to defend if they hadn't required it.
A major healthcare foundation a work at a lot (I'll be there Monday morning) Is requiring their employees to be vaccinated or they lose their job. I know they let go of about 300 as of a few weeks or so ago. Vendors or contractors they require to either be vaccinated or take weekly covid tests and wear an N95. If I would not have gotten vaccinated luckily the company I work for has a pretty good stockpile of home tests they got about a month or so ago anticipating that they would eventually be unavailable at stores like they are now. Most all of us are unvaccinated so I imagine they will get used here and there with the city (New Orleans) also requiring vaccinations or negative tests.

Good for you! (Supporting DW.)
I got two J&Js and a Moderna. The Moderna was the only one that hurt.
DD got two Modernas and was a little queezy a couple hours each time.
DW got a Pfizer and a sore arm. It seems to be very individualized.
I got all three of Moderna. Nothing happened except a sore arm. My son got the J&J.. boy he had a horrible reaction. We just never know.

I can understand, there are some things that can definitely have an impact on mask wearing. It’s just that my husband and grandson both have asthma and both wear masks in the grocery store and such. Hubs sometimes steps into an empty aisle and takes his off for a couple minutes if he’s having a hard time, but it passes and puts it back on. He felt like he definitely should wear one because he has the underlying condition.
That's what you do if I feel like something is coming. I pull it down a few seconds..away from others. It does pass, thank goodness! It's a scary feeling. Wore it today to the Nephrologist. Did great. 🤷

So... on Dec 12th my mother had her oxygen reduced and passed a few hours after.
Covid was a very painful illness and she died a horrible death. One I would not wish on anyone, no mater what.
Not to mention hospital staff, exposing others etc. She obviously had an underlying condition she was unaware of but her life ended badly, painfully, sadly from covid.
Shocked the geezers out of me to have the disease so close to heart. All of Colorado family got Covid. The unvaxxed calling lovedones to say their goodbyes. The vaxxed thinking they had a cold, except for mom.
Our numbers are shamefully high. It is an unwanted disease.
My DH flies his mom home to another island on Saturday. 🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏 hoping she makes the gambit.
So sorry, TB! Words just can't ...
:hugs💔🫂 this made me cry.

You know what's interesting for me lately? I'm having a panic attack feeling coming on at times. I used to suffer with those, it's horrible. I got me through it, not sure how. I haven't had a full blown panic attack since the 90's! But now..that feeling is coming back when I'm wearing the mask. Just started this past month! I've been absolutely fine wearing the mask, no problem at all and I completely believe in the affectiveness of them. Not sure what's going on. Makes me mad though.
I'm sorry, Cynthia. 🙏🙏🙏

Yep. I got a flu and a pneumonia (they start that when you get old and old means 65 apparently) Monday last week. One in each arm. Next day wasn't as sore as the Pfizers but the first Shingrix shot Feb 2020 was much worse than the flu, pneumonia and 3 Pfizers combined.
Same. The Shingrix shot itself didn't hurt, well, stung a little, and that day it didn't bother. But over the next couple days it did and an area around the shot got hot and red. This got progressively worse like a Charley horse for days and was still sore for about two weeks, not just a few days. Not as painful at first as the covid shot, but lasted much longer and overall a lot worse. I'm supposed to get #2 in Feb and will ask pharmacist if this sounds normal and if I should still get it. Don't want shingles again either!
