Just read this in our local paper for my county, guess the schools are not the only one's being given test kits;
"- Delaware County received 2,000 COVID-19 test kits on Thursday, Jan. 6 as a part of Governor Kathy Hochul’s “Winter Surge Plan,” said Delaware County Emergency Services Director Stephen Hood.
Test kits were divided up among the 19 towns. The number of kits allocated to each town were were based on population, said Hood.
According to Hood, kit distribution must remain within town limits.
While there are no restrictions on how many test kits one individual can acquire, the county encourages residents to take what is needed and if families can afford to purchase them in-store to do so, said Hood. “Numbers are very limited,” he said."
