I had no idea.

"...Blue Shield of California launched a hybrid payment model in 2021, which pays practices around 75 cents per instance for immunization, breast cancer screening, weight assessment and other healthcare measures...." https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ld-rewards-based-several-measures/9283394002/

I looked for just Blue Care physician incentives... they have a 2017 sheet with $50 for childhood flu. ... and $150 for "weight assessment and counseling for children; counseling for physical activity"

I clearly don't understand how this works - this could easily be $500 for talking about physical activity, diet, and bmi and giving a flu shot in a well care visit. Add another $100 if meds for ADHD are involved.

These are per patient, per visit amounts?

If so, it is no wonder the Dr doesn't have time to talk about individual concerns... a very sore spot just now because of ... never mind. It was very bad. Is very bad. Because the person close was a zebra (from the "see hoof beats, think horse rather than zebra.)

Where I retired from, the ins recommended giving perks to encourage healthy activities. Free preventative testing, vaccines, fitness center on campus farmers market.
I still get free blood work.

I haven't been in here for a long time. Surprised it's still going. I'm one that is very grateful for the vaccine. Never did get it. Who knows I may get it down the road. It's less aggressive, although still tough on us old folks. Glad the hard part is over for us. All I know is I'm also grateful to have had a great example to me in my church. Thankful..and Blessed.

I got Covid phenomena November 12 2020 before the vaccine was out my wife just got over hers just Covid I was very sick there were no rooms in our local Hospital and St. Louis wasn’t taking any one. Thank God for my beloved wife she is a Respiratory Therapist for over 32 years listened to the Doctor and took care of me at home with the stuff he gave her and made me walk when it was so difficult. He told her if you see him start to get really bad get him down here and we’ll put him in the hall but he will do better at home and not in a Hospital bed. I suffered with Post Covid for over a year and a half it damaged my lungs and enlarged my heart. My little Farm went down hill fast because I couldn’t take care of it. My Chickens had stopped laying they got past there prime and I couldn’t sell them because of lock downs that was the Highlight of my day then to see if I could make it to the Chickens to feed them if I couldn’t my wife would. I finally got better very slowly taking baby steps I managed to get my little Farm back maybe even better than I left it before I got sick. I still deal with the breathing issues and short term memory loss and fog brain. But I’m still above the sod and I thank the Lord and my Beautiful Wife of 27 years for that.

My Drs are telling me you want to get it now that’s it is less virulent. So you have the antibodies. The vaccine antibodies don’t last

I don't know if they'll ever know whats up..or was. I just know what's working and worked for my huge family. Not all got the vaccines. They got real sick, where those that did got it mild or not at all. Had a cousins Father in law die. I'm just glad like I said that the worst is over. If it's more of just a cold for most, that's great. If I need a flu shot and a covid shot come winters from now on, I'll get them. :)
