Last I checked they don't want me giving blood because my partner is pansexual. I recently heard that got lifted to "as long as he hasn't had sex with a guy in a year" though so I may be able to give blood again. I know about 6 people who want to give blood but can't for similar reasons. They're married couples being actively turned away from the blood centers.
What?
What does this p word mean?

husband is 0-. T
I am O- as well, but they don't want gay blood. Seems kinda messed up considering I have been with the same guy 36 years. I could donate, but I would have to lie, and the thing is I KNOW I am HIV negative and they test the blood anyway, many people find out they are positive because they donate and the blood is screened.

I started following this back in January after hearing about people dying from a new flu virus in China on Dec 28th. Strange that I can remember the date.

In January I picked up a load of groceries that I had ordered on line. Having been under treatment for serum negative RA most of 2018-19, I had let the pantry get a bit 'barer' than I liked and suddenly DH was wondering why I was ordering loads of groceries.

Now he knows. One thing for sure. That is the last time I will let the pantry get depleted.

I read that most hospitals keep at least a normal six month supply on hand, but they are using far faster than normal.
Around here NY state I was confused by the mask shortage cause they have very few cases, most counties with between 2-8. A few more populated counties with up to 200. My county says eight but they say only three lived here five of them just used addresses here. Still have four counties with zero.
And everywhere asking for masks even handmade one's. Even Broome county that has the small city of Binghamton in it is only 18 cases. Friend of mine is a nurse in a hospital there said a couple weeks ago he had to keep his mask in a paper bag when on break and reuse it they were so short.
Just guessing but I think probably all NY state hospitals sent most of theirs to the city.

Yeah it's super scary. I feel so sorry for people who vape thinking it's safer or healthier than cigs. I used to think so. Boy was I wrong. Cigs can take a lifetime to kill a person, but vaping can do it in a few months if you get the wrong stuff.
I've been vaping for 3 years now. Helped me to quit cigarettes. I don't think it's safe or healthy. It's just a bad habit traded for another bad habit. I guess I better prepare for my death if I get covid. My lungs are probably squishy and too mushy to handle it.😰

Quite a few yrs now we've been stocked up, never know what kind of natural disaster, severe power outages, who knows etc.. So we're OK.
I never gave a thought about stocking up on toilet paper though, never realized it was a necessity 😆

I have been vaping since 2008
Lungs feel better than when I was smoking cigarettes. But I would not recommend it if you don't smoke. For me, it's better.

Same here. I feel like I'm able to get more air than before. It helped me to quit after smoking ten yrs so it's not like I had a fresh young set of lungs or anything lol
I haven't gotten sick since I started vaping so I'm wondering how my lungs will handle a cough or a flu now
