LOL!Oh man, SOLs! I haven't had to think about those awful things since I moved away from Virginia lol. I recognized the term and knew you were from Virginia before I even checked the little location thingy.
I'm currently in high school, and I have actually noticed the work load and the due dates the teachers put on us have noticeably decreased. I think they're really letting us off since pretty much everyone has had no experience with online and remote learning so far.
shipping a broody in the mail. I don't know if that's a package I would want to openI can mail you some!!! LOL it’s usually one of my Orpingtons but occasionally I’ve had an Australorp go broody too lol I wish I still had Penny. She was the one that went broody all those times. Broody machine lol she’d be perfect!! And she was so sweet.![]()
oh man I thought Virginia was the only one that had it ope my bad lol. My school was the kind that had two full weeks of SOLs though. That was middle and elementary school though. Don't know about high school.LOL!
Not sure where you are now but SOL's here are a lot less difficult than where we lived before. Here they spread them out at my kiddo's school and HSs here only have 5 classes at a time, so midyear they actually switch to 3 new classes so all kids can get 8 classes without having to cram for finals for all 8 classes and deal with all 8 SOLs at ince.
In other states school would basically have 2 full weeks of just SOL's...aaaaalllll daaaaaayyyy everyyyyyy siiiiingle daaaaayyyy.
Kiddo hated it!

I wish ours had acted sooner. I was really uneasy when all the states around us, besides TN, had shut schools and we hadn't yet. We seem to be about 2 weeks behind our neighboring states, again not including TN.This has been the attitude in Ohio too. Lots of Ohio is not fond of our governor, especially in the circles I know. He's done a lot of things people consider scummy. But both sides agree that what he's doing now is the right thing. I actually see him getting more criticism from his own party and more praise from his opposing party ironically.
People are just glad he's taken real actions and shown good leadership. And it's been working too. Ohios early action is starting to already see some real results now that it's been a couple weeks. We're also apparently really good at sheltering in place. National cases are higher than Ohios and our state-wide cases are lower than neighboring states in the same boat.
