Here, a place that does have internet shortages, there are work packets going home and it's been discussed to have mobile hotspots set up for those kids without internet. Some of the schools supply Chromebooks to the kids because textbooks are on the computer now.So what do kids without internet service do?
So with a supplied hot spot they could in theory keep up.
They are doing breakfast and lunch pick up for kids too so they have enough to eat.
I will know more on what is going on here after our meeting with the principal. Both of my kids are middle school. I am worried about my daughter's Algerbra 1, she has to take a test at the end of the year to show she knows the material. This class is a High School credit for her. If she doesn't pass the test then she has to retake it. I don't think she will have any problems she is an hournors student, but with this i am a little worried. She plans on starting bio med classes and AP classes next year, then her senior year she is planing on doing allied health which she would ba a Certified Nursing Assistant right out of high School. She needs this class to get things dones and have enought credits to do everything she wants to do..
My kiddo's high school hasn't said how they might do finals this year, but they did omit the SOLs (pssa's, yearly assessments) and all the kids will get their credits for the year and I think that was based on how they had done up to the point of having to learn from home. Kiddo is also an honors kid so I was worried about that too.
Zoom classes have been interesting....
I'm not a huge fan either but it grows really well for me so I dry it. Tons of it!Kale is something I don't like![]()
Then I use it in soups, smoothies, sauces, casseroles, and sprinkled across stuff for kale goodness without the strong kale-y flavor.
