That's gotta feel comforting.
I'm starting to get low on some stuff, but I haven't grocery shopped in over a month so not surprising. I'm thankful now for taking the time and hassle to can and all the extra tomatoes and veggies from gardens past. I see lots of soups and stews in our future too.

And gotta respect your kind of preparation, organization and determination to avoid this virus. No kidding! There should be an award for you guys who have it all together without being some sort of paranoid prepper!

That's awesome you've been able to avoid the stores! I haven't been able to avoid shopping for that long, mostly because we need milk about once a week for the kids. Once we get that we do a quick walk through the store looking for TP and other stuff we might need soon. If we see it we get it because it's often not available the next tome.

Yes they are and someway to store all those bazillion summer squash we get every year.
I know! We ate so much squash one year my husband didn't want to grow it again the next 🤭
I think I'm going to have to get some squash on my next grocery run and make some. I got hankering now.

I'm bummed my incubator is still delayed in shipping. All I have to eat chicken wise is my layers and single roo, which I need to keep. Thankfully I have some meat in the freezer for now.
Where in VA are you? Maybe we are neighbors! I live near Chatham.

I agree! On both counts.

My habit -- pre-Corona, that is -- was to shop every day. Probably at 2-3 stores for just the right thing. I like fresh food and I don't have all that much storage room. ...and I'm retired so I could do that.

I've been able to modify to go 5 or 6 days before I really need things. And I'll try even harder. But this really runs counter to habits of a long lifetime.

OTOH, I haven't turned the news on yet but I've heard a rumor that the West Coast may be ready to turn the apex and hit the down slope. Of course, that comes with its own warning not to disregard the Safer at Home protocols. Still, one day I may be able to get the haircut I've needed for 3 weeks and see my friends who evacuated from Europe and were supposed to be living with us now. ...before my daughter announced that absolutely and positively VERBOTEN.

I make veggie stew quite a bit during the winter everything from our garden. Tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash, onions, kale, sometimes throw in some beans and corn. Italian spices. :drool making me hungry just thinking about it.
You are making my stomach growl! Mmmm.. I think I’m going to make that soon. Still a bit chilly up here!
