@KDOGG331 I've been dealing with Marek's disease in my flock since 2016. It's heartbreaking but it isn't the end of the world. Like @folly'splace said, your whole flock is exposed if indeed your roo does have MD. You may have others turn up sick/die but they won't die. Those that don't die are worth their weight in meal worms. Those are the birds that are the foundation of your future flock.

I last bird I lost with obvious Marek's disease was two years ago. My losses have finally slowed down but I had to make the tough decision to cull my original flock, who were all carriers.

I also agree that you need a firm diagnosis before you do anything extreme.

Good luck. If you have any questions, PM me. I'm always willing to help.

Lowe's and Home Depot here have a ton.

They'd sell a lot if they put them out! People want to grow gardens and raise their own food sources this year.

I've still seen a fairly decent amount of seeds/started plants around, just a lot more people than usual browsing the selection. Usually I feel like I have the whole seed section to myself but now you almost have to wait in line just to take a look.

I'm having trouble remembering what day it is.

Is it laundry day? Baking day? Mowing day? (who am I kidding, I'm not mowing lately because of asthma) Gardening day? Raining day? Sewing day? Fencing day?? A day ending in a Y?

Every day is gardening day! And hubby mowed the overgrown side lawn today, I'm very happy.

In the cities as I understand it kids are not out and about. Here if you are out without good reason then you can be fined or arrested. You're supposed to carry a form with you stating your business.
In the village closest to me I haven't seen any kids out.
I think the idea of letting the kids out is partly to give the parents a break. I expect the longer term aim is to get the schools open again.

Yeah I only saw an article about it after I brought it up. I didn't realize the restrictions in areas of Spain were so strict that children couldn't even play in their own residential yards and haven't been out in a whole month. :( I don't think there's any city/state in the US that is that strict... kids are still allowed to go outside, but many parks and obviously schools are closed.

I get the impression from what I've read that different states and even counties have differing levels of restrictions in the USA.

It's all over the place by city, county, and state. I believe NYC currently has the strictest (or closest to it) restrictions. Meanwhile some states still don't have shelter in place orders.

I've seen quite a few people pull their masks down with gloved hands to use a mobile phone, put the phone back in their pockets and replace the mask.

Yeah, I couldn't help but comment at hubby after seeing a lady exit the pet store yesterday - she had a mask on, the moment she was out of the store whips it off, instantly grabs her phone and puts it to her face...

People can't stop touching their phones at all. I've been leaving mine at home or in my purse untouched.

Good afternoon,
Due to the COVID19 I’m teleworking, so far things here at Virginia are okay. As a matter of fact some people believe this is all hyped and they are carrying on with their life’s as nothing. On another note, I started ordering eggs and hatching, no joke I got like 30 peeps on my third floor and two full incubators! My husband took the initiative to build another 2 coops! Anyone else chicken math out of control?
